And to think some were slating him at the start of the season.
Players who have been slated but actually turned good:
Sterling
Mcnulty
Dabo
Shipley
Godden (when he only had 3 goals in 5 games or some sh*t)

Great player, much better than Sterling imo.

Yep I wasn’t keen in pre-season. Fantastic today. Hope his aggression / silly fouls don’t cost us. I predicted at the start of the season that him and mason would not be our first choice full backs by the end of the season. I fear that might be right if someone comes calling for Dabo

When something kicks off he is straight there to join in I like that in a player and the same with Kastaneer yesterday, but Dabo is also a tough competitor with a lot of skill.

He’s been a real asset particularly over the last two games. Mccallum is playing well too although cannot cross a ball, would like to see more of mason playing this formation as he tends to attack more

I love him. Only been to half of the away games (plus home games), so can't comment on all, but apart from the Oxford game when he had one brain fart, he has been great. Plays like a winner.

Dabo has been pretty decent and you could see he was a good player from the start. Even at Leamington in the friendly he was unfit but you could see he had a bit about him.

His issue was that he wasn't Grimmer.

He was poor against Southend on opening day, they picked on him in the air and it worked well, and I predicted that Pask would take his place at some point in the season.

Very glad to have been proved wrong on that one. He's been quality ever since.

Not really, Grimmer barely featured the season before. If anything, Sterling suffered from not being Grimmer but managed to turn that round. On the subject of Grimmer, I didn’t think he was good enough for league 1. Turns out he’s more than good enough.

Dabo is better than Grimmer, but I'm still pleased for Grimmer that he is doing well. He was a big part of our promotion year, and never kicked up a fuss last season like many others would have in his position. Just checked on Sterling and seen he has only played 6 games for Wigan this season, so it looks like things haven't gone so well for him so far this season.
