Apparently there is a train strike on this Saturday so could make getting to and from Birmingham a bit of a pain.

Train strike is every Saturday until Christmas. I think it effects Midlands lines rather than Virgin Trains.

First Trenitalia? Ah, the GOVERNMENT owned train company of Italy

I sure hope their energy suppliers don't take over as well............

I did panic earlier in the week when someone mentioned strikes etc.... so I rang Virgin and they confirmed it’s not them, the guy did say it may be busier than usual though because of this.

Midlands rail have also suspended their strike so should be fine. Last couple of home games have been affected but should be fine from this weekend

Sounds good. Does that mean Boardsley will be open on match days again?
I assume so no reasojn not
Still covered if bought in advance.
The time table/strike only affects the slow trains (west midlands trains) that stop at Canley/Tile hill etc - Virgin trains running as normal per timetable (bit of useless information last ever-virgin train today is 9.42pm euston to wolverhampton) last ever Birmingham to Coventry virgin train is 9.30pm tonight

I don't come on that line but presume some of us get the slow trains to Adderly Park.
