Your events always seem to be when I'm on bloody afternoon or night shift!
I'm determined to make one before the seasons end. (Early shift allowing)

Happy days, did he say loan?

He said someone definitely in, when asked what position he refused to answer. Also said that someone would be going out to fund the one in but suggested it would be someone who was ‘not part of the plans’ or ‘looking for a move’. Not sure what to take from that.
Other points, as you’d imagine was very pro trying to get people to St Andrews and how important that was and they’d have to sell players to fill the void. Asked who wasn’t going and about four people put their hand up (obviously some might be shy).
Said that everyone would be off Christmas Day with Boxing Day off, rose would have an extra day to go to Scotland and Kastaneer would go back to Netherlands, he wasn’t overly complementary about him throughout, and Jobello would do some recovery in south of France.
He said he’d had phone calls from people asking to come play for us because of our style, was hugely complementary of McNulty.
Was asked about best players he’d had here and said mcgoldrick, mcnulty then mentioned Westbrooke, rose and Dabo

Sounds like a nice event and I wish I’d been there, but I didn’t see this until it was too late – some very long days at the moment and I don’t have time to trawl the web all day like some of you wasters ;)

Sky Blue Harry H it would be great if you (or somebody) could post a notice about these Leamington/Warwick meetings in advance, maybe a week before? Apologies if you did that this time and I missed it.

It was good, the few I have been to have been great, although annoyingly there was a fair few people chatting around us last night which meant we missed some of what was said. Not the organisers faults by any stretch just some people have no manners. Anyway, they announced last night the next meeting was 6th February and suggested Jodi Jones would be one of the guests so pencil it in.

Cheers GMLK - btw which former player was there last night? You could always call the well known Lillington kid Cozy Powell to drum up support.

It was meant to be Dave Busst I think but for some reason he wasn’t there. I overheard someone say he went to another event (possibly Bedworth one) but I’m not sure. They had Jim Brown, the club historian up to talk about his book, and then Shippers was there, not as the way of a guest but just cuz he’s great at turning up to these events of his own accord, and he did a quiz with fan about some CCFC stuff. He was presented with a plaque for his 100 club appearances and they wanted to give him money towards a meal out with his partner/kids so the winner of the quiz got £100. Not sure if it was a set up but the first question was ‘what was the attendance at your debut at Walsall’ and he knew it to the exact figure, same for the capacity at St. Andrews. Either knows his stuff, or someone had tipped him off. Either way was a good laugh.

LOL - even more annoyed I missed it now. Yes, Shippers is a good lad, and all credit to him for winning people round with his performances on the pitch. You could always see he had the ability for a good career, but It must have been tough to ignore all the idiots slagging him off in his first season or so. He isn't the first to suffer from that, and sadly I guess he won't be the last.

It helps that Shippers‘a old man is always in and around the scene too.
I missed this last night as was at work but have heard a whisper that TerryGibson is also coming soon as a former player.

Ok - another option is to join the facebook group. Always plenty of notice given on there.

I think it might have been GarryB on here posted about how he stands up and shouts abuse at him.

I think this season he's been much improved bar the last 2 games, I am not sure if it's tiredness or what.

oh ok fair enough

yeah i have been impressed with him in centre mid. maybe is tired now or just find it hard to come off bench perhaps. either way hes young so a rest for likes of allen or walsh is no slight on him

Did this sound like he's already got a somebody lined up?

Yep. Unless someone else heard it very differently to me it sounded like whoever’s coming in is basically already done. In which case you’d imagine whoever the out is, is already done

I would have to assume he's looking for a permanent move for.junior brown, as most other players are getting decent playtime. Possibly kastaneer although I think he has good talent just needs fitness so if he did go would be strange. If he brings in a striker, I would expect baka to go, but if it was any other position no.

Seriously?? He's been one of our most consistent performers over the last couple of months and has been MOTM contender more than once. If you've barely noticed him a trip to Specsavers is needed!
It’s because the poster he quoted spelt his name wrong...
