How on earth do you maintain a tree? There are frigging thousands of them huddled together in the New Forest & similar. They just grow if left alone. Anyone that gets too close just needs to be reminded of the risk they are taking by moving closer to the tree!

They’re vulnerable while they’re small and need watering and maintaining. Apparently it’s a real issue with some tree planting schemes.

Why do you need a machine to plant a sapling? 3 men and 3 spades will do it. You seem to be working on the premise that that it’s going to be down to one single object that’s got to do this work solidly on its own over 20 years. You need to add a dose of reality to your thinking.
To balance out the fact that there is probably a machine (chainsaw) that allows 1 man to take em down far quicker than 3 men can plant em!

You think getting through a full grown tree with a chainsaw takes longer than dropping a sapling in a small hole and covering the roots with dirt?

Your report says that those with less experience of a particular issue make worse decisions in relation to it. Of course my education in physical sciences must bow to your University of Life diploma in the arena of climate science.

It is MY report now is it?

Your education might make you (at least in your mind) some sort of master of of physical science...but ONLY in that.

Take it to Armageddon proportions, would it help you find food any better than an unqualified soldier or even apprentice football player?

I know what I'lll do, I'll add another reason for people not to vote for me so they stop thinking about the other reasons not to vote for me.

Machiavellian genius.
But most seem to think he will win an overall majority.
Not sure I believe that myself, but while people are ranting or sneering about him not (yet) appearing...they aren't picking more holes in the manifesto are they? Like being lured into a false position of strength only to be slapped down when he does appear a few days pre-election

Think about factoring in the time & effort involved in getting the sapling to the point of dropping it into said hole!

I suspect you'll find that is close to my literal degree title. You're right though who needs one when talking about one of the biggest scientific issues of the modern age

Hmmm yes nice analagy..... using armageddon to try and dismiss someone who clearly knows a lot about the science behind climate change. Very odd behaviour.

average wage of a primary school teacher - £25,777
average wage of a secondary school teacher- £29,593
Average wage of a nurse - £24,588

I'm surprised at that amount for primary teachers. What that shows is that it is a profession now top heavy with inexperienced teachers at the bottom end of the pay scale. After about 5 years from an NQT you should be up to £30,000 and beyond that you need to cross the threshold to earn more . Clearly the number of teachers leaving the profession before they get to that grade is huge.

So.

Boris gets in.

Boris gets Brexit “done”.

Boris doesn’t extend the implementation period.

We leave without a deal.

In that scenario Boris will have to borrow more than Labour are currently planning to borrow according to the IFS.

How are we going to pay for that?

So apparently it’s for others to decide if Boris can have an interview with Andrew Neil. Isn’t Boris supposed to be the leader? Who exactly is running the Conservative Party? Not Boris. Apparently.

But we aren't...we are talking about the General Election

A General Election in which the environment is the third biggest issue that voters are concerned about. You simply can’t discuss the general election if you’re not talking about the major issues and the environment is one of those.

The Tory MP Brandon Lewis on the QT panel in leave and Conservative voting Swindon isn’t get a good reception at all. Surprising.

Lionel Shriver is just awful also.

Yeah...let's face it he/she is just superscilliously focusing on an area they can massage their own ego with. Which is not what we are here to discuss.

Climate important...BSBs blabbering about his/her supposedly superiority on the matter isn't
