FA Cup 2nd round on Sunday (1 Viewer)

I don't think Paul Lambert will play anywhere near a full strength team on Sunday. I may be wrong, but with autos obviously their main focus, and with a clash against Wycombe tonight, which should be tasty, I'd be surprised if he throws his first team into the fray on Sunday. I think that is even more likely with the fact they have to play us the following week, as he may be unwilling to give us extra clues as to how they'll perform, in what is a more important league clash. Thoughts? I say we beat them in both!!

3rd round is important to get to, i rekon he'll play a strong team
Yeah, this. They're no different to us...going up is the priority but a nice plum tie in the 3rd round will be in the radar of all clubs in the 2nd round not to mention to pennies that come with it.

I'd say they're slightly different from us in that they've been in the 3rd round of the cup every year since 1958, it won't feel so much an achievement for them to get there and their average gates are significantly better than ours.

We need the money more than Ipswich; I know we'll mix our team up a bit - O'Hare will definitely start I think, but as someone already posted, the income isn't so crucial to Ipswich, and their priority will be to try and beat us the following Saturday (which they won't, as we only lose to 'Tranmeres' !!)

I think our lack of quality strikers will continue to be our undoing. Ipswich are a good team and unfortunately I cant see us getting anything out of either game. But i live in hope, so you never know.

First time they had won an FA cup tie since 2010...

Ipswich lost £5.2 million last year and have lost money for the previous three years - they probably need the money more than us

Max is back and if he can continue hit it off with Bakoyoka we have a good chance

Let’s get past this round and a few much needed shillings to boost the coffers to make up for the shortfall at St Andrews. Then when a plum tie is announced all the stay aways will want tickets! ;)

I said the same! Wont it be funny when/If we get Man Utd or Chelski at 'home' suddenly we will have more stands open as all the 'I refuse to travel to Birmingham' fans suddenly want to go and support.

As far as memorable games go, I remember us equalising in 96th minute at Portman Road and then Pablo Counago from the resulting kick off winning it for them.
