The Bristol City website has always said they have a recall option on Walsh in January
Walsh completes Sky Blues switch

In fairness, as good as Walsh has been, if Kelly, Allen, Westbrooke, Shipley and O'Hare (along with Eccles and apparently Pask as cover at DM) are all fit and performing in January, it would probably be a better use of resources to let Walsh go back and bring in a winger/striker in his place. Central midfield is not where we are short at the moment.

I think all of our midfielders are quite short actually.

Some people talk some shit, there's nothing worse than when somebody sees a little bit of a snippet in the Telegraph and then expand upon it and make a story up in their head and then will get outraged if it doesn't happen.

Well according to Wiki:
Kelly - 187cm
Pask - 187 cm
Allen - 180
Shipley - 183
Westbrooke - 180
O'Hare - 175
Eccles - no data

So we are actually comfortably above average height in midfield - except for O'Hare.

Also, from seeing Allen in pre-season I would be surprised if he was 170cm let alone 180cm.

Footballer’s heights are always ridiculously wrong online.

I’d guess Shipley is the tallest followed be Eccles. Allen is only slightly taller than O’Hare. Kelly and Westbrooke are about the same (5’10?) but height doesn’t equate to physicality or aerial ability.

MR is being smart by stating the possibility of only one signing. It's easy to cause anxiety amongst the existing squad if they think they'll be a lot of movement. Secondly, with the number of players potentially being available including Godden, Allen, Pask, Jones [although I think he'll take time to get up to match fitness] then assuming we don't pick up any more serious injuries with the existing squad, then there is no need for much change.
If MR could offload Kasteneer, Baka and Ponti, then he might have the wages to take on a higher level striker on loan.

Do we think Robins will go back in for Bright, if he goes back to Wolves as expected?

No. Not with O'Hare on loan for the season and the apparent problems he's been having up at Wigan. We don't play the system that gave him the freedom like last year so I think we'll be looking elsewhere.

He might but I think that could be a second option, a striker has to be his priority and imo needs to be early January we have 6 fixtures in that month, don’t want last minute signings on the 31st of Jan.We can’t risk Godden breaking down again, we are just not good enough up front without him and there’s Jodie Jones a possible bonus I don’t write him off plenty have come back from ACLs look at Oxlade-Chamberlin at Liverpool, in my dream team now !!

Wikipedia has always been a questionable source, but I think anyone who has seen Allen play now can comfortably say 180cm is one of the most generous overestimates you will ever see.
