They'll have been working on it for years already. Most recent rumour had it in San Andreas again with San Fierro and Las Venturas as the cities but it's all guesswork really until it's revealed

I'd be happy with the San Andreas rumour as GTA:SA is probably my all-time favourite game, but then GTA V was already a return to that in part. I think they should stick to the US though, if they did another London game I fear it'd be some kind of bad Guy Ritchie nonsense with geezers and shootahs and all that kind of thing. There's only so much Danny Dyer I can take

That should have been amazing but was such a missed opportunity. They spent so long trying (and succeeding) to be faithful to London they forgot to put an actual game in with it.

I remember in San Andreas you'd be one side of the state and get that message 'your turf is under attack', and instead of racing back for a fight you could just get in a taxi and kick off the taxi driver mission which would stop it completely. What a timesaver that trick was

It was an absolute godsend! Having to traipse right across the map each time would have been a step too far, especially after eventually clearing those horrible Zero missions with the RC plane and then finding out you didn't even need to bother to continue the story. Never had rage at a game, but that's the closest I've come

Those flying missions really pissed me off! They were damn near impossible. When I finally completed them I saved the game twice just to make sure I had a back up in case one didn't work. Never, ever wanted to do them again.

Btw, did anyone get the early version with the 'hot coffee' side missions available? Got taken out of the version I had.

my 13 year old son want to play GTA with a couple of his mates online. I know nothing about the game, but have read varying opinions on t'intenet about whether or not the game is suitable for him. Can anyone offer an opinion?

Does he play offline? If so it's not a great difference between that and online. If he's not played at all, I'd class it as similar to watching a crime film with an 18 certificate.

thanks for your reply - he is planning to play online. So far I have told him no. I'm now looking for some bad stuff to help justify my decision to him :)

It's really not as bad as people make out. There is obviously adult content in it (Drugs and Sex references) but you don't actually see much if that makes sense?

A bit of blood and shooting etc, that's it really. It's not gory.

I started with a new character this week. To get my shooting skills up I’ve been sniping people in the head for practice. Also I was short on cash so I’ve been hatcheting people in the back. It’s really cool when it’s stuck in their head and your fella struggles to pull it out. Also visited a prostitute just cause I’ve never done it in real life so thought I’d see how it goes down.
Perfect gaming for a 13 year old wouldn’t you agree?

There used to be a regular flow of GTA games until they just used the downloads to extend the online versions, never got into the online ones myself but previously brought all of them from the very first on the PS1

We were spoiled back in the PS2 days. GTA 3, Vice and San Andreas all released within the space of three years, each a classic. Mad to think that 3 wasn't even that highly anticipated considering the legacy it created

I'd say it's fine for a 13 year old, bit of drug taking, sex references, bad language, nothing too bad at all, you'll probably see most of that in a film rated 15. Just think what you were upto at 13, probably a hell of a lot worse then sitting in your room playing video games.

Torture, gay rape no way is it comparable to a 15 movie hence the 18 rating

The torture scene is minor, compare that to what you would see in the Saw movies, those aren't comparable. Can't remember the gay rape scene though.
