Wolves must be asking questions (1 Viewer)

Bright Enobakhare - Not a sniff of first-team football all season at wigan - Wolves sent him to wigan to further develop his career in the championship - the only thing he is developing is a sore back watching from the stands - surely we must have a chance of getting him back January - cannot believe that wolves would continue with the current situation

He can rot where he is for all I care. He made his bed and can lie in it. He was greedy and strung our fans a long with his pathetic social media posts. There are other players out there move on
Pretty much this, plus, O'Hare is twice the player and plays in his position. I'd MUCH rather O'Hare in all honesty.

You may not see him play again anywhere. His attitude is shot, has been lots of issues with him at Wigan and there's not a chance we will take him on.

Unless O'Hare suffers a long term injury, there is no point in signing Bright.

You don't think his club would decide where he goes on loan ?

I think the boat has long since sailed for Bright, he was fantastic for us but moved on, he wouldn't be match fit for a start and we already have 1 heavyweight on the bench

Trouble maker. No point disrupting the team that is ticking along nicely. We need a couple of signings but not ones that are going to ruin what we have going.
LG, do you have any insider knowledge that he was a troublemaker? Usually your posts are logical so I am guessing you may know something we don't but really don't understand the vitriol from some and personally I have never heard anything to suggest he was a troublemaker. He was clearly charismatic, he matched that with his style of a footballer. I loved watching him, would happily have him back but I'm also not particularly fussed if we don't.

The fact that he was clearly a target before he went to Wigan, suggests that MR did not consider him disruptive

In this case I’m mainly going off what better days said about the perception of him by the players and coaches who could tell it was all about the money from him and his antics in leading the fans down the garden path while he had absolutely no intention of coming back left a sour taste.

If I hadn't read some of these posts I wouldn't have known what a fantastic player O"Hare was

How do you all know he had no intention of returning? I imagine Wolves have said that if he wanted an opportunity to play in the PL then he needed to prove himself in the Championship first. It's natural progression I'm sure when he said it he meant it, but things change. I was at the awards night and he definitely was clear then of a return, but other players, agents all get in his ear whilst he's away and possibly look at what suits them rather than his career.

As he isn’t being picked at Wigan it looks improbable he will play for Wolves in the top league and I can’t see many teams in the championship going for him so he may become available at this level again, I can see him going to Sunderland if they don’t go up though.

The other thing to remember is some players just fit at a time at a certain club we all remember Moussa and apart from his time here his career has been fairly average at best.

But I would take the risk if he was available

Another raw player with bags of potential, ability with a eye for goal who could with the right application to his development and game make a successful professional career in the game but looks more likely he could be filed next to Duckens Nazon

Something it does highlight is the gap between league one and the championship these days. He shone for us last year and now can’t get a game. Doesn’t bode well if we did manage to get out of this league.

The reason that his time with us was so good was because Robins allowed (or tolerated) his freedom of movement. His positional discipline is poor and he's presumably not yet good enough to get away with it at a higher level.

While I would agree the gulf is probably quite stark, I am not sure this is a good highlighter. Some managers just don't fancy players for whatever reason. As a drastic example Tony Pulis gave Serge Gnabry like 17 minutes at West Brom and he's now Bayern Munich Player of the Season. Of course that doesn't necessarily mean Bright is good enough for the Championship, but occasionally a manager or players style/stubborness isnt a good fit for one another.

They are a Premier League side aiming for the top 6 and he was never more than an asset to sell on for a million or two. I don’t think they’ll be too bothered, it’s certainly not going to impact their business model or first team

I’d take him if wolves paid majority of his wages but I don’t think we really need him to be honest. Every player is working hard for the team right now and the fact we don’t have a “star man” I think is contributing to that. We’re worth more than the sum of our parts this season.

He hardly got a game with the Scottish side he was on loan at the start of last season either

perhaps he did want to come here but wolves didn’t want him too so he’s not trying to prove a point and will get his move back in jan. Don’t really want him back now don’t think he’d suit the team this year

Not sure he strung us along with any malice I just don’t think he realises other people can see his stuff on social media and the consequences of it. Very childlike

He was talking directly to fans saying he was coming back, can't see how he could think people wouldn't see it.

We're stacked at CM and CAM, if he's available on a free in the summer it wouldn't hurt to take a look, all effort and spare resources should go into find the goals up top to get us out of this league.

Behave Bright was miles ahead of O’Hare

ability on the ball wise you're probably right.
But there's more to being a professional footballer than that. Bright was far too undisciplined, no surprise to me he's not getting a start in the Championship. You won't get away with it at that level.
