Great, let’s go back to a shit pitch mid winter! Can’t wait to see our style of football excel.

More intersted in the survival of the club.
And surely lessons have been.learnt regarding the state of the pitch from the end of last season?

There needs to be some guarantee that the pitch will be maintained accordingly. SA pitch will have suffered soon enough, just like everywhere else.

If we are going back then fans have to seriously get behind the team, will be excellent and will give us that final push, i think we'll go up if we are back at the ricoh
Lol, if the tickets are 5 quid, the temperature is 16 degrees minimum, oasis reform, McNulty comes back, they start selling Carling Extra Cold, we don't piss about with it at the back, Amadou Bakayoko gets nailed to a cross on the A444 and Joy gives everyone a hand job on the way in (or Tim Fisher, choice on arrival).

Then people might turn up in numbers.

Or Wembley.

Unless we go back and not prop Wasps up I’m not interested as we will be back as hostages again. Maybe someone from the club should speak to Birmingham council about them “welcoming us” as in a few quid for propping up a run down area with much needed extra revenue. Our council would try to fine us for parking, put extra speed cameras up and make it known people aren’t welcome like they do now.
It’s a pleasure to speak to the locals and they have more than made us welcome.
A forward thinking council would rub their hands with glee if they had any sense.

Hahaha. Cast your mind back 12 months to this time last season . If someone had said to you they wish we could leave the Ricoh and go and play at at Andrews simply because the pitch is better you'd have told them to jolly well fuck off. ...............or would you?

If we go back now then it has to be on a fair long term deal without any interference from the council who have been thankfully quiet over the last couple of months.
Anything other than this and we’ll be over a barrel again.
wasps are fucked and personally I’d be happier to give it til the end of the season to see if they piss of back down south or go pop. If they survive then they’ll still be desperate for us to go back.

Tbf we had more points last season after the same amount of games so I’m not sure whether the style of play is excelling in the first place

We'd also played 2 games more at that point hadn't we? Then also preceded to go on a 6 game losing streak or something like that just as the pitch began to deteriorate.... Although of course not the only reason we were just shit

Still don’t see how we are better off on a long term lease. No access to revenues, paying rent and relying on attendances.

18/19 we had 27 points after 16 games. This season we’ve got 26 points after 16 games

The games after that at home we drew with Accrington, drew with Peterborough, lost to Luton, then beat Charlton and Southend over Christmas

I’m talking about the style of play which seems to becoming a bit of a myth. It’s certainly not producing any better results than last season

MR has our team playing very attractive [if sometimes frustrating] football. If we did return to the Ricoh the pitch would have to be better than previous seasons, or the supposed "home advantage" would be negated.
Alternatively, if the pitch is like previous season we could get Ady Boothroyd back to manage the team and play hoof ball, so the ball never touches the turf! .....im joking before some of you jump on this!

And it’s in a considerably more depressing place, with less fans and such a poor atmosphere that in our last “home” game, they players could hear the fans laughing at an attempted shot on goal.

I’d rather we played at the memorial

I wouldn't. The council have said they are going to start charging for parking there.

Can’t get my head around people not wanting to return to the Ricoh & stay in brum instead lol
Yeah, but the pitch is better.

I've heard there's a nice pitch somewhere in Staffordshire. I also think there is one in Michigan as well.
