What would your starting 11 be if all players were fit..

Marosi
Dabo —Hyam — Mcfadz (just!) —Mason (just!)
O’Hare — Kelly — Westbrooke

Jones — Biamou — Godden

I didn’t see any preseason games so can’t judge Allen but if he’s as good as the reputation then maybe swap him for Westbrooke but I just haven’t seen him play yet.

Marosi
Dabo McFadz Rose Mason
Allen Kelly Ohare
Jones Biamou Godden

If we changed from the preferred 352

Personally I’d say
Marosi
Dabo Rose Hyam mcallum(on current form)
Kelly Allan Shipley
O’Hare
Godden Biamou

Considering you’ve got to fit Jodi, Hiwula, Walsh, Westbrooke, Mcallum, Mason and Watson into that squad I think it’s promising when all are fit. It’s a very good problem to have and when someone disappoints there will be someone else to fill the gap

Would anyone have Jones playing off Godden in a front 2?

It's very tricky.

Jones (who I want to see in the team) probably works best in a 4-3-3. But that leaves Godden isolated.

Or we revert to 4-4-2 but that means playing O'Hare on the wing (not his best position) and also giving up on the quality possession game enabled by 3-5-2 or 4-3-3.

Also don't think Jodi is a 10 for all his brilliance.

Not sure what the answer is but I guess it's a good problem to have - quality players who can fit different systems.

Dabo Hyam McFad Rose Mason

Allen in ahead of Walsh on the basis that he was signed to be a key player and had interest from the championship (apparently).

I agree this is our strongest team on paper once Allen is fully fit. If not Walsh fits nicely into the Allen role.

I like McFad for his leadership and distribution. He is guilty right now of some key mistakes and hope that's just temporary. If not it may be that Josh Pask comes into the reckoning as part of our 'defensive 3'.

Mason as of now seems to be out of favour - continuing the new tradition of first choice left backs left on the bench!

3 5 2 for me with the glut of midfielders we have

- Marosi
- Hyam Mcfadz Rose
Dabo Allen Kelly O'Hare Mason
- Godden Biamou

Subs
Wilson
McCallum
Shippers
Westbrooke
Jones
Jobello
Hiwula

Not the biggest Max fan but hes shown since hes come back, what not many of us thought, that he could cut it at league 1 level.

I know mcfadz has been ropey but with a young hyam and rose next to him will be experience and get his head on things at the back

Jones is a difficult one to call as even if fit we really can't judge if he will be the same player. I will however presume that Allen is the player we are expecting him to be, so my first XI at this point would be:
Marosi
Rose McFadzean Hyam
Dabo Allen Kelly O'Hare McCallum
Godden Biamou

really wanted not to say this, but cant for the life of me get why anyone thinks McFaz should be in our team at the mo.

Certainly not saying Drysdale should be in the first team, but he looked far better than McFaz on Tues.

Also, its almost a given that McFaz will give a pen away at the mo
