With all the modern technology at their disposal, rescuers failed to save the life of a man stuck at the top of a 290 ft chimney.
Seems incredible, we can land a man on the moon and a spaceship on Mars but can't get up a 290 ft structure.
Rescuers called at 02:20 while man still alive
Man brought down 16:45, pronounced dead

This whole thing is really odd ..... what the feck was he doing up there..... some form of extreme Santa Claus training/preparation!!!!????

They had the correct technology in the wrong place. I don't quite understand how he was able to hang from the structure, unconscious, without falling off.

Madness, it's weird how his leg got caught. Although he might have suffered less if he had just fallen.
