Game of 2 halves.

Dabo is very consistent, wins duels in the air, he's tenacious and gets forward well. Dare I say he's better than sterling and a great singing.

Hyam lost every header first half

Mccallum got better as the game went on. He's clearly a player with huge potential but we have to remember mason is only 22 and just signed a new deal. For me Mason is the better pick atm but its a great duel.

Other players to pick out, max and baka linked well together. Max does link the play well. Still lacking that fitness you can tell but he's worth pursuing with.

Westbrooke is neat and tidy but I I want more. Shipley too many worldie wannabe flicks and passes and Walsh, I'm afraid just does not cut it in this team. Kelly is a the heart beat and the drive and he now has to start.

No ratings but fuck it 2-1 win 'Ave it

Marosi 7 - A couple of important saves in the first half, distribution improved greatly after half time

Dabo 7 - Aside from one indiscretion in the second half I thought he looked solid, still want to see more from him going forwards though
Rose 5.5 - Hard to isolate which of the two centre-halves were at fault for their chances, so they get the same score. Weren't good enough in possession in the first half, needed to be much quicker and snappier to get the team on the front foot, rather than hopeful looking balls
Hyam 5.5 - See Rose
McCallum 7.5 - Grew as the game went on and was our best player in the second half. Looked like they targeted him early on but he stood up to it relatively well, was calm to help see the game out

Walsh 5 - They did a job on him in the first half and he was anonymous, not surprised to see him get hooked
Shipley 5 - Had more of the ball than Walsh but was wasteful with it
Westbrooke 6 - No better than Walsh or Shipley in the first half but helped provide a spark in the second half and was still hurtling around in the last minute, stuck pen away well

Hiwula 5 - Anonymous, apart from to collect the ball in the left-back area - was starved of service so don't lay the blame completely at his feet
O'Hare 6 - Tries his heart out but needs to get in the hole more often to provide an outlet, looks a bit leggy at the minute I think a rest may do him some good or to come off the bench for a game or two
Bakayoko 5.5 - No lack of effort but not a great deal of quality there, his finish was an easy one but when bereft of confidence (after a spanking by MR In the media) it'd have been easy to sky it

McFadzean 6 - Spent ten minutes being an utter liability when we could've conceded a couple of goals but was a presence to help us see it out
Biamou 7 - Still looked under cooked but ran his socks off as you'd expect and linked the play better than Bakayoko did, penalty looked a smidge dubious from my angle but happy to take it
Kelly 8 - I don't know how he ended up with a bit more time and space than Walsh did but he got on the ball far more and helped join the play up, team grew in confidence with him on the park

Robins 7 - Fair play for not hanging about and changing things up, can't ask for much more on that front. Baffled by the combination of tactics and selection in the first half though, they could've been 3-0 up at half time and I wouldn't have complained too hard - onwards and upwards though! Three points at Peterborough on Saturday and the picture is really rosy again.

Agree with most of the above.
Having McFaz and Kelly on the pitch is so important for leadership.
Biamou was brilliant in leading the line.
O'Hare much more influential in the middle.
An upfront combination of Max and Godden in a 3-5-2 could have lots of potential.
Hiwula needs to be taken out of the firing line to discover some confidence.
Can’t argue with that spot on,kelly & McFadzean give us identity Max & Godden will work

he was head and shoulders ahead of Shipley and walsh and scored the winner. a 7 at least
Completely disagree, not good enough imo. Anonymous most games and too lightweight. At least Walsh picks the odd good pass, Westbrooke can’t even do that. I don’t even know what his attributes are.

Decent debate and appreciate the lack of insults in discussing it. I didn’t see anything from Walsh or Shipley tonight and kept seeing westbrooke want the ball and pushing fwd..don’t think he should be ahead of Kelly, but he showed himself tonight and didn’t hide. Telling that Shipley went off at HT.

Agree that Shipley was also poor. Problem with both Westbrooke and Shipley is that they are 10 a penny midfielders. They’ll do a job but they haven’t got that that creativity that players like Marcus Maddison have to unlock a door. We need someone who is willing to get on the ball and provide a bit of steel in the middle, as Kelly demonstrated expertly in the second half. They just haven’t got enough about them at this current moment imo. I’m sure Westbrooke will improve over time though.

Shipley I feel is very limited

That Marosi save was worth a 10 on its own.
Dabo was exceptional. He did get mugged once which nearly led to a goal at 1-0 but other than that didn’t put a foot wrong. 9

I just love watching Biamou play. He wins headers, holds it up, brings others in, draws defenders, he even ran the channels (and then miscontrolled it for a goal kick)

and fair play to Baka. I still don’t favour him but can’t knock that finish. He does pop up with goals to be fair to him.

Great win, keeps us in the play off mix. PUSB

Marosi - 7 - thought he did well when called upon, couldn’t do much about the goal.

Dabo - 9 - becoming my favourite player, I like his passion and he tries to encourage the fans, works hard. If only he could header the ball instead of just facing it.

Hyam/Rose - 7 - both looked a lot better when McFadzean came on but didn’t do too badly before.

McCallum - 8 - thought he looked tremendous again, playing as a wingback suited his strengths in the second half, unlucky not to of got his first goal.

Shipley - 6 - will possibly felt hard done by coming off especially as captain but it was the right call. Didn’t disgrace himself by any means.

Westbrooke - 8 - thought he was a lot lot better the second half and really looked involved and was integral to some of our build up play.

Walsh - 5 - I just don’t see it atm I’ve criticised him previously for trying the Hollywood and not doing the basics right, seemed to give the ball away endlessly in the first half. It’s a shame cause you can see there’s is a player in there just don’t think the CDM Role suits him.

O’hare - 7 - very very busy as always, always looks like he could create something, works hard, continues to impress.

Hiwula - 5 - simply not good enough at the moment but unless we do change to the second half formation there isn’t many options to come in for him. Did he get injured?

Baka - 7 - took his goal well, a little shush to the crowd as well? Don’t mind that though as long as he is scoring. Thought the work ethic was improved marginally today, still has a long way to go if he wants to make it here.

Biamou - 7 - isn’t the greatest of footballers but he works very very hard for the team, which you can forgive some of his downfalls for as he inspires the team to follow his work ethic in my opinion.

McFadzean - 7 - few give away balls start of the second half but he really helped to shore things up as the half grew on, instils a bit of confidence in the back and moves the ball forward and out the back well.

Kelly - 7.5 - probably for me the biggest difference maker, he is what makes us tick, gives the players around him confidence and gets us playing football, missed him dearly whilst he’s been out. Should be the first name on the sheet.

Don’t know what game you watched. Walsh lost the ball yet again for their goal hit numerous passes to nobody. It wasn’t by coincidence that suddenly we started to play really well the moment Walsh left the field. In my view Walsh has been a liability for the last 3 games as it generally takes he 20 minutes before he settles down. Good player in the making but Kelly showed him up tonight.

I have to agree with this, felt over the last couple Walsh has been completely found out and playing as the defensive cog in that three doesn’t suit his abilities.

Kelly 100% showed him up mate

Robins do not drop Kelly again this season no coincidence we dipped when he was out of the team he’s leagues ahead of the rest of the midfield all this pissing about with players having to win the shirt back yeah fair enough but not with the captain & most important player we have...

Robins 1000% got it wrong leaving him out I hope he’s learnt from it.
