Is it too much to expect a change at half-time or must we wait till the 80th minute?

We've either gone long to a lonely looking Baka or worked the ball out wide and chipped crosses over. Their centre backs are enormous. Why are we even bothering to cross it? What do big donkey CBs hate? Short quick play through the middle that puts them on the back foot or makes them turn. Not come close to doing that all game. Tactically moronic.

Get Westbrooke off and go to a diamond FFS
The system is a fucking joke and it's infuriating that Robins is sticking with it.
Can he really be at the edge of the pitch thinking yes this will work?

Didier fucking Drogba in his prime wouldn't have any luck with these tactics never mind Baka who is a donkey. Inevitably Robins will blame Baka for not being strong enough but Robins needs to have a hard look at himself.

No doubt he will put Biamou on for Baka and the same shit will happen

To me Evans (was it him) who hit the post wasn’t so then it’s if madden was ahead of him when the balm came back or was offside and interfering with the original cross - he may have been but the picture proves nothing
Interfering isn’t the rule, Madden was active in the move - as he put it in the goal.

Why go through the middle and utilise O'Hare when we can go wide and give them a throw in from an overhit Cross?

Our run of defeats started with his shambolic performance at Rotherham - he’s a liability - what would he add to this tonight?

Don't get me wrong, the two that are in are fine, but I don't think there's much between the 3. He does have a bit more height & presence at set pieces.

I seriously would - he may get the crowd livened up. He will at least put himself about this is shocking and a big slump is on the cards
I called a big slump a few games back, it reminded me of when we lost to Walsall in the cup, then Cheltenham

Awful half. No idea when it is near box. Fleetwood look positive in final third we not challenging balls into box. Both teams a bit unlucky not to get a penalty each (is fir handball early on, them for trip in box). They have had 6 shots on target and we have had one.
This system without a genuine winger is just not working. We need a change of system sooner rather than later.

... And it's a slippy pitch which they hate even more. They've got Evans and Madden spinning off all time.

First time in his two tenures I'm really questioning Robins as we're going backwards

I don't quite get what is going on with this today. We've played the ball out all year, then against the biggest pair of centre backs I've seen in years we decide to try Route 1. And Kelly must start next match surely? Offside or not, the chance came from Walsh not being strong enough in the middle... we're being overrun and there's no leadership out there. Hiwula probably the most senior player on the pitch...
Because they are pressing us and making us hoof it

It's time to stop thinking about making the play-offs and start talking about how many points above the drop we are. Weren't Walsall in a similar position to us now at this point last season?

We’ve played it really well down the right on 5 or 6 occasions just no one to play it to in the box

Calm down everyone. It’s a bad few games, talking about relegation is a silly as talking about winning the league a few games back. We’ll come back.

Go to a diamond!
Christ I’ve just had an Andy Thorn flashback. I’m going for a lie down.
I'm not a massive fan of it! But with the players we have available we have to pick a formation that suits while giving us a chance to get back in the game.
------------Marosi------------
Dabo-Rose-Hyam-McCallum
-------------Kelly--------------
---Walsh----------Shipley
------------O'Hare-----------
--------Baka--Hiwula---------

Won't we need to bring hiwula on?

Things look terminal. Even I would put Biamou on at half time

Goal was one of the most blatant offsides ever, Madden looked genuinely embarrassed to accept it & ref has missed another clear handball but...

We have been dreadful. Marosi keeping us in it.

Why are we so keen to work it wide and then cross the ball - we win nothing in the air or in the box full stop. It’s infuriating.

Our midfield and attacking six are all absolutely anonymous bar O’Hare.

I don’t particularly like narrow formations but we need to go 2 up front as our presence is non-existent. Combine that with the fact we have ZERO wide players (again) then 4-3-1-2 seems the way to go with Biamou and Hiwula up front, O’Hare 10 and Kelly, Walsh and Shipley as the 3.

For all the good things he’s done, MR weakness is his inability to be flexible and he’s easily predictable. Plus the 5 minute flurry at the end probably means MR feels he can justify the existing formation and tactics.

Fleetwood are a good offensive unit, but are very average at the back, unfortunately it gives us no advantage as we offer zero.

The goal was miles offsite, so therefore it wasn’t awful defending as it shouldn’t have stood.
