Depressive-2 wins in last 9 in all competitions or....

Optimistic-2 defeats in 15 matches.

Which one are you?

Could do without these niggling injuries at the moment. Need a win against Tranmere, see what the MK party day brings, then a real tough ugly one against Fleetwood (which I'm not looking forward to - unless we've won the previous 2 - or got at least 4 points!). Still a great start to the season, overall. Glass half full.

We’ve got an issue at the moment conceding stupid goals and actually not creating many clear cut chances.

Also our injury list is horrendous and it’s only Oct. With Baka now injured we don’t have any strikers left apart from Hiwula and Godden.

2 wins in last 9

We don’t create enough & starve our 750k striker of any service, our defence looks shakey.

I saw a stat the other day that shows we've been losing for the most combined minutes during matches in League 1.

We've had a good start, but unless that stat changes dramatically soon will start dropping away. We cant keep rescuing points in 90mins+.

if the 9 games were all league games that would be 11 points
if we get 11 points from the next 9 games we would be on 31 points from 20 games
Over a season that is 68 points (and probably within a win of the top 6)

so while that run is not great - going on a run like that now would not be season ending
if we could get 15 points from the next 9 games however we would be looking up

I'm definitely half full but I don't understand people's logic that we must win ever game. I don't think this league is as strong as it has been in the past and I can definitely see us going on another winning streak before long.

It's a bit like a game where you score in the last couple of minutes (which we've done a few times).
You can look at it as a positive that they didn't give up and kept trying until the end, or as a negative that they should have scored earlier.
But the fact is if you rely on late goals, sooner or later you won't score in the last minute and it will cost you.
So such things are a symptom of an underlying problem and not necessarily a positive.
Clearly we have not solved our goal-scoring problems.

Hello J B, nothing wrong with wanting to win ever game, before every game I always want to win the game.

But this is COV CITY, they build you up and let you down. PUSB .

What do you think Brian Clough would have replied to that - methinks you are overthinking it.
Although i do agree with the bit about snakes...

It's still early days tbf but I think the balance and strength of the side has not been settled yet.
I think we will see Allen and O'Hare forming a top partnership before long, and Kelly and Walsh as the steady rock in front of the back 4 with maurauding wing backs getting forward at every possible moment providing width to get round the back of teams and still have the ability as a team to come straight through the middle at pace where Hiwula and Godden ill yet play a huge part. Lets also not forget he New Year should see Jody Jones back and his talent will work well with O'Hare and Godden.
At this point the likes of Shipley and co will be bench warmers, and not a bad bench at that.
