Please, please, please will you stop with this playing out from the back. It’s creating more problems than solutions and if we are not careful we will have players not suited to playing this way losing confidence. It’s fashionable doing this but only the elite clubs can do this... we’re league 1 and no way in my opinion be applying pressure on ourselves playing this way.

mcfazdean is a old fashioned meet and greet type of player not a ball player and I personally think it’s unfair to ask players to do something there not comfortable doing.

we have had today’s result coming following the Wimbledon and Doncaster let offs. Let’s hope Mark Robins now realises this needs changing.

'meet and greet' what the fuck does that mean? Plus addressing posts to Robins on here is as cringeworthy as the moaning cunts on Facebook groups that put shit like 'thanks to the kind person that parked 4 inches ova are drive today..'

We've lost 1 game in 11

Utter bollocks, first loss all season. Love the play style, long may it continue. Its risk reward and today it didn't pay off but one bad result doesn't mean we should rip up a thought out strategy. Mental talk.

Even good teams have bad days. Get over yourself

We've made mistakes that have cost us goals. Wimbledon and Doncaster were still games we deserved to win. I thought the performance against Doncaster wS the best of the season.

We've lost a game because of our own mistakes, should we change a style of play that has seen us undefeated until the 5th of October or try and eradicate the mistakes. The answer is obvious to me, let's beat Tranmere next Sunday for the Sky camera's and show the rest of this league what we're about. Onwards and upwards.

Firstly cringe as fuck with a thread to mark robins.

Secondly, by Jesus ive just watched the “highlights” back again and there’s fuck all robins can do about any of that really.

People going on like we are trying to be Man City but none of those goals were a result of trying to do anything technically above a top half league one players level.

I highly doubt that McFadz has been instructed to play a shit ball back to the keeper even when he’s got a man coming behind him and they are pressing. That is individual judgement and he fucked it up twice in two weeks. You have to rely on his experience and judgement there and most would’ve just put their foot through it.

Third goal another howler there but your keeper needs to be absolutely screaming at you there to get rid of it or alternatively leave it and then come claim it. I wasn’t there so obviously can’t say either way but I can see how that would happen if there was no communication. Shit pass by Kelly also. What happens next is inevitable.

Fourth goal...fuck sake Hyam, that’s as bad an individual error as you’re ever going to get from a centre half. As an aspiring championship player you’ve got to do more than that. Nothing robins could do about that, and chalk it down to a bad day at the office and at least it happened in a game we were already fucked in.

Baka needs to be trying to give that ball to Godden at the end.

All in all a day to forget but our style of football has meant we’ve lost 1 game in 11 so people bitching that we don’t have the players to play like we have been need to go take their head for a shit

The problem is our opponents know what we are going to do now and they are ready for it.
We are too predictable.
It's ok to pass it from the back sometimes, but not every time so we are so predictable.

Today was appalling, there's no way around that. But the idea that we've got to October 5th before losing yet should now panic and completely rip up the plan and start again is ridiculous.

The mistakes today weren't because they were trying to do things only Man City are capable of, they were basic errors. Yes we've had close calls in other matches, but not really as bad as some of the errors today. Its L1, players will makes mistakes and as its L1 the opposition players won't always be able to capitalise.

Now if we lose 5 in a row and are playing the same way every week then a rethink might be in order but to do it now would be a huge overeaten that could potentially do more damage than good.

We lost, so what bound to lose again this season too. Still fourth and could be second if we win our game in and.

McFadzean isn't an 'old style' centre half. He was brought to the club by Robins as a ball playing defender, as that was the style Robins wants the team to play. If he wanted a traditional centre back I'm sure he would have kept Tom Davies. Playing this way will occasionally lead to calamitous days like today, but we just have to hope that those days are exceeded by the good days where this style pays off.

Our style of football is correct, problem is McFadz today thinking he was some kind of Brazilian sweeper same as he has a few games this season he’s one of them players if your the opposition forwards you pick him out as having a mistake in him & to pressure him.Last week Doncaster mistake was the same as the first penalty today,he done it at Pompey also.Rose will come back in who I felt done ok for us & seems to have a lot better passing than McFadz who today was embarrassing...the captain conceded 2 penalties & was sent off.

I don't agree with the OP really, but it is legitimate to asks questions about the way we are setting up away from home and if it is working when teams press high, which they will invariably do when they're at home. We've played 5 away, not won once and conceded 10 goals. No need to panic of course, but Robins isn't stupid, and he'll know that the system is leaving us a little exposed and that these unforced errors will be punished more away from home where teams play a higher line.

Message to Mark Robins...our cheap Mcfadz is just as bad as a 50 million England defender so please phone Pep and Southgate and discuss with them to see what happens next instead of reading the shite written here by overeacting clueless well meaning fans

Rotherham knew what we’d do and pressed high as a result. You can play this system but need the players to do it. McFazdean has looked uncomfortable all along as he isn’t quick enough. Hyam had a shit afternoon generally. Take it on the chin and learn from it

if you want meltdown, go on the Scumderland board!!! Samaritans will be doing fuckin overtime tonight.

Please don't encourage more of our fans to start monitoring the Sunderland forum and then have them reporting back to us about how they keep slagging us off. Nick will soon have to start a brand new SFC v CCFC forum for these posters.
