We’ve got about £7 million in total haven’t we?

How do you reach a total of £7m? Initial fee of c.£2.5m and then 10% sell-on of the £24m, so as it stands we’re at £4.9m. Granted there may be variation to the figures, but how would you account for the missing £2.1m?

The sell on fee was believed to be between 10% and 15% so if you go for the higher estimate that brings it closer to £7m however 10% is the most common in deals

Imagine how good that would be for us if he sells for that!! Robins would hopefully get a million of the sell on fee to spend

Where would you strengthen with that? I honestly couldn’t pick out a position we are in desperate need of. Maybe a proper DM to backup Kelly.

Really Hope he goes, even its for 50 million. Out of £5m robins should hopefully see half. That's a lot of Wonga for this league.

Very wishful thinking that he'll get half, its more likely that it'll be used to keep the clubs head above water and proabably just mean we don't have to sell our players at the first sign of an offer.

Looking at the financials from last year id think that 2.5 million would be more than enough for SISU to cover the short fall in attendance and operating costs. Baring in mind we are paying less to be at St Andrews than at the Ricoh. (If you believe what's been said)

I've not seen anybody suggest StAns is cheaper than the Ricoh and the club has to stay afloat for more than one year. If Wilson does go I'd expect Robins to be given a small sum in January if we're still up there and a budget similar to the last couple of summer next year if we stay down.

Just had a convo with everyone at work about this, but it went exactly as expected talking to Man U/Arsenal "fans"...

Apparently £70mil is stupid money, but £80mil for Maguire is okay...

Not a chance would he be given anywhere close to £2.5m mate

Bearing in mind a player on 5k a week costs 260k a year, 2.5m might not directly go to transfers but would certainly be around that with wages and fees included.

Minus the wages of the player he's replacing that would be moved on/loaned out.

How about funding a move to Stans for 3 years?

I mean that's also including contract extensions and renewals of current players.

Id expect a slight increase in playing budget maybe, expect the Telegraph to lead with "Sky Blues bag XXm following Wilson sale" then outrage from NOPM brigade when we don't sign 5 new players for XXm

Quite interesting to see this speculation at around £70m for a player who's had 2 ACLs
He'd be a good fit at Man U especially if they also get Madders
Danny Ings another player with a double ACL recently went for £20m which has to be encouraging for Jodi Jones

Two ACLs and now apparently worth £70million yet plenty on here have our JJ almost on the scrap heap.
