Bannana skin tonight, we will press too high, wont be able to break them down, they will play a long ball upto the big lad and score, 1 - 0 Wimbledon. We just cant beat poor teams

If we are serious contenders then we need to be rolling these over tonight. They looked a fairly poor team of cloggers against MK Dons in a game lacking in quality versus our game against Burton. Given the record at St A this year then anything less than a comprehensive win would be disappointing.

Cue 0-0 or 1-1 draw.

Have to disagree there. It's a pretty simple ball to control if he uses his left foot and it was relatively straightforward to have sidefooted first time too on his left. It's his decision to try and control a ball on his right foot that is travelling across him that turns into the difficult situation - I suspect he's pretty low on confidence based on his season so far, which contributed to that poor decision.
I suspect he’s not good enough, we are a division higher and we are playing passing and possession football which constantly breaks down when it goes to our left, can’t always be bad luck or bad bounce.

Hiwula signed in L1 and has played that level his entire career. He’s only 23 FGS, he’s doing fine.

Watching our fan base cope with the team doing well is hilarious. Just desperately grasping around for something to bitch about.

Anyone saying the ball was impossible to hit first time or control have never played football at any level, obviously.

His response wad unnatural and cumbersome. I don't dislike the player by any means either. It appears some people on here are taking a mothering role on for the team and become overly sensitive and teary eyed when anyone is critiqued.

Important to win tonight IMO, to allow for the Bury break. I'd like to think the team will try and push for autos, now we are in a decent position after 8 games...

It's obviously more that we are a side who look like competing for automatic promotion this year, and so when there are one or two players that aren't quite cutting it, people will call it out?

Not sure why people get so upset when players are critiqued - we all want the team to play to the absolute best of it's potential and people are saying where there's room for improvement?

I've played at pretty high levels. It was not impossible to hit first time but was extremely difficult. The photo was very misleading and did not represent the spin of the ball traveling very fast and in a split second at Hiwula. It was also spinning slightly behind him.

It's also interesting that you chose the photo to obviously mock a player on his technical skills ('my dead Grandma could have scored that') - the same player who was technically outstanding the week before in setting up two of our goals. Memories are short.

I do agree that Hiwula is a confidence player and I would like to see him influence games more for sure.

What I have seen this season is a lot more tracking back which I think is being overlooked.

Schmeeee absolutely nails it when he says some posters are desperate to be negative.

Constructive criticism is always good and most posters are balanced - mockery in some cases says more about the poster.

You really are a prize bed wetter.

Hiwula messed up a golden opportunity. End of the story. There's no need for paragraph upon paragraph of conjecture and bitching because someone has a different opinion than you.

So you’ll be disappointed if we win 1-0?

The ball bounces twice before it gets to him, it's not travelling that fast and it's definitely not spinning behind him. He has well over a second to make his decision, that's an age in professional sport. I timed it as 1.2 seconds* between the post and his touch :p

(*based on an average of 10 timings**)
(**I'm joking, I'm not that sad, I only timed it 8 times)

I still think a confident striker opens his body and hits that first time on his left but he tries to control a ball spinning across him, in his stride, on his right foot. Now that is extremely difficult to do!

The funniest bit about all of it is he gets punished by getting the ball smashed in his face by the defender straight after :emoji_joy::emoji_joy:

Hiwula to score twice tonight!

They’ve scored in 7/8 games, and the only game they didn’t score in was a 0-0 draw against Wycombe who’ve had a good start.

1-2 loss bit of a bogey team seem to beat us most of the time and we like to help teams out that are struggling ie Bolton for example.

“Critiqued” is a bit of a fancy word for what’s happened:

- Baka is “not good enough to be a professional footballer”, has dogs abuse on SM and jeers from the crowd at games until he isn’t in the squad, then we move on to:
- Dabo is a liability, going to get sent off every game and always scoring own goals, and now:
- Hiwula isn’t good enough so can’t make the step up to League 1 from *checks notes* League 1

If you’re taking offence at this shit being called out as ridiculous, it’s probably because of your own issues with what you say. If you’re not on that level I ain’t talking about you.

Watching that back, it seems he tries to control it with his studs. Had he used his instep, even on his right, that’s probably a goal.

Just to point out what a good strike it was from Westbrooke, very unlucky
