I have no idea how it will end up - no idea. A Tory majority is possible but marginal - there is no chance of a labour majority but a chance of a labour SNP majority

In the end though this will never be resolved until there is a labour or Tory majority

Quick, quick, the posh people are saying they'll look after us. I'm all over this fucker, fucking peasants getting themselves disabled and stuff, taking the piss now. You can disagree all you like but you're wrong, the posh people told me. Strong and fucking stable, mate. They're rich for a reason mate, they know what they're on about.

I'm quite happy to be a 'Chuka' voter. I've voted Tory, Labour, LD, Green and Ind in various elections over the years. I look at the policies and manifestos and vote according to who's I believe in the most. As someone who says they have independent thought I'd assume you'd do the same wouldn't you?

Why do I need to show any correlation between them? As I said I look at the policies and vote accordingly. I can't remember what the name of the independent was - he was a bloke in his early 30's and it was only a LE.

This was a fair while ago and even if I could remember why should I tell you? Are you some kind of bot collecting data (possibly under Alexander's orders ;)) I seem to remember I liked a few of his city centre regeneration ideas and he wanted to work more closely with Warwick Uni to create a base in the city for the renewable energy industry.

The European Central Bank has announced a fresh stimulus package in an attempt to prevent the fragile eurozone economy from grinding to a halt, with an interest rate cut and plans to pump €20bn (£19bn) a month into the financial markets.

In one of his final acts in his ECB presidency, before Christine Lagarde takes charge in November, Mario Draghi said governments across the eurozone needed to take greater steps to reboot growth by ramping up public spending or cutting taxes.

Draghi’s comments came as the ECB announced it would step in to support the 19-nation currency bloc by revamping its quantitative easing (QE) programme of bond buying. Starting from November, the central bank will buy €20bn of bonds a month from commercial banks in an attempt to inject more money into the economy.

The move restarts a programme paused by the ECB in December after the purchase of €2.6tn of bonds since first use of QE in 2015.

The UK QE programme has seen the BoE buy £1.1tn worth of bonds. We're not in a place to criticise the ECB.

Yes it is. The article you previously quoted was with regards to the recovery from the financial crisis of 2008. This is a fresh package because of “The stimulus package comes as the eurozone economy falters alongside a broader global economic slowdown that has been triggered by rising trade protectionism and the US-China trade war.” As the article you linked tells you. By the way we’re not immune from the broader global economic downturn either. Nice selective quoting by the way and resurrection of posts.

The government should refuse to re open parliament until the opposition vote they down through the correct process established by the parliament act. They are abusing the intent of the act and that is not in dispute.

Johnson has had in the face of it the worst start of any PM. In any other situation (major was fairly similar) the opposition would be light years ahead in the polls. The fact is though they are not and strategically that’s going to give a lot of encouragement and I suspect every court action and every embarrassing refusal by the opposition to try and hide from the electorate and hold Johnson up as s sacrificial lamb will sit go well with a lot of people

Can't think of a post you have made that I agree with more strongly. The opposition are trying to force their agenda through without any responsibility or accountability & it will all be working in favour of Boris - love him or hate him.

So on conference in Europe & tonight sat down with 6 NI colleagues. Interestingly a 50/50 split on Brexit referendum vote.

Shocked & even confused that they were unanimously in favour of Brexit...despite the risk of troubles returning. They believe Brexit should be honoured & were, to my astonishment, wholly supportive of Boris & his approach.

I am baffled somewhat atm...but will give it more thought tomorrow. What do others on here think of this?

I’m commenting on events, it isn’t opinion in this case. The government is digging a hole of its own making, if I’m pointing out that one lie contradicts the previous lie that isn’t opinion it’s just observation.
