Got to be happy with the fighting spirit and never say die attitude the team have shown thus far, and we've not once played our best XI. Really liked Godden's goal - looked to be chasing a lost cause with two defenders and his instinct got him a half chance that he buried. Altered the outlook of the game. Their first was a good finish but a bit on the soft side, second disappointing from Walsh.

Got the issue now of whether O'Hare is a great supersub or should be starting. I think he'll be a starter soon enough but at the moment it's working so why change it.

2nd/joint top and I still think we're nowhere near our potential. Obviously good team have to know how to pick up points on off days and we've got the knack at the moment. Long may it continue.

Yup we cna improve yet with mason return, kelly return, allen debut all to come!

Plus jodi jones perhaps in this 433 where he is allowed to cut in and it gets very exciting indeed

Godden is irreplacable it seems though

Next few games if we keep win home draw away could be in good position come our rest week on sept 21st

Was anyone sitting in line with goal line to see if it crossed the line near the end - looked in from where I was sat

What a game what a day out in Birmingham.

Place is full of hindsight executioners here and snowflakes who get upset if there are any call outs for improvement even if we win. You can still make suggestions for “good to great” and comment on things that concern you. Part of football isn’t it? Baffling

Anyway great game. Need to watch the highlights again. Murdered Kelly last week but missed his defensiveness today in midfield. Walsh looks good going forward and can pick a pass. O Hare to definitely start I think...although he’s a nightmare for opposition when you being him on for the last half an hour!

When we have Allen and Kelly and Walsh available I’d like to see if o Hare can play in hiwula’s position

Heads killing

The old snowflakes shout, top work!

I think 98% of people just ask for a bit more perspective on the over reaction, than is given.

Did I say something offensive?

The irony of this statement is the people screaming how everyone’s a terrible fan for daring to criticise or suggest how the team needs to change to further improve, are the ones who need the perspective? It’s mid game...this is a match thread so essentially enables people to have that “terrace chat” virtually.

just a bit weird!

Anyway, to beat Blackpool when missing three key players is very exciting

Yep I’m a snowflake for asking certain posters to find things to enjoy rather than identify every players weakness! Shucks

Just so we are clear then...if a player isn’t playing well enough or the team not functioning right, fans shouldn’t call it out but rather find things to enjoy?

I couldn’t be any less offended at the word snowflake.

I was making the point generally.
It would be pushing it to say that it is always “fun” supporting City but there are times to be annoyed, frustrated etc and times to not enjoy it as much but yesterday wasn’t one of those day’s.

Second half yesterday we were excellent for anyone to find negative stuff about individual players is quite frankly amazing.

Lee burge is best keeper in league 1

I agree btw that reactionary negativity is wrong. But pete you are a fan boy who is always gonna have sky blue tinted glasses on so your opinion is just as worthless at times

Huh Burge isn’t and wasn’t ever the best league 1 keeper. Maybe you were remembering him being the league 2 keeper of the season

Just had a quick look on Blackpoo's boards and they are moaning about losing, "these are the teams we should be beatingif we're gonna be top". I love it when they think we will roll over for them, and give in
also their fans think their midfield sit too deep when on top and goals up,that sounds so much like the complainers on THIS board. We aren't the only team who the fans imagine have issues.
A bit of perspective, equal top, unbeaten in the League, 61% possesion to 39% yesterday, more shots on target, several very decent players to come back in, and hopefully Robins doesn't get nominated for Manager of the month. the future is bright, the future is Sky Blue. PUSB

Yes, we are the sort of teams they should be beating if they want to be top.

But there is no chance of that. So they wont be.

Strange comments. Surely you have to beat the majority of teams if you want to be top? Be it Coventry, Blackpool, Sunderland, Ipswich, Oxford et al.

I thought apart from their two goals we've been in control of this game. Two good finishes for the goals. If we can tighten up in defence this one is there for the taking.
You watching in Oz or back in Blighty, Cochese?

I had a very good view and didnt think it did.

At the time I thought it was over and I was bang in line, but it was close and the ref had to be sure.l
Looking at the replay doesn't look like it was in to me.

Doesn't help that the lino stumbled over as he was running so was never going to be given

Really? That must be one fan? As I looked on their forum this morning and most of them were saying we were the better team in general but they should have been more streetwise and seen the game out like professionals.

What I want to know is who blocked the toilets under block 32 and 33
A right nightmare having to get to the other end of the stand for a piss at half time. Was bursting after a couple of pints before the game at the hotel on Garrison Road

Don't know if it has previously been mentioned but did anyone else find Jobello's celebration abit odd and awkward? Normally players react like that when they've been getting loads of stick? Holding his hand to his ear and staring into the crowd. Just thought it was odd...
