I'm fairly sure even a grade 1 strain is a week, hopefully that's what they mean.

edit: who is the physio who posts on here, maybe they can confirm?

Yeah, an actually torn hamstring is at least a grade 2 for a partial tear, a total tear grade 3 and both can take weeks or even months to recover.

Grade 1 is a pull or strain and can take a few days to recover.

Let’s hope it’s grade 1.

Feel for Mason but shouldn't be rushed back with a hamstring injury, whatever the grade.

McCallum will do fine as cover.

Steady. As a fan base we don't call taxi's for our managers using their first names.

Would have thought its more likely he's used the wrong term for the injury rather than the wrong amount of time he will be out, hope so anyway.

What is it with are best players getting injured, it seems to happen every season.

And it will be for months and not weeks.

I have torn my hamstring, and was out for about 6 weeks, obviously I never had a dedicated medical team to get me back quicker.

Last time Mark said Jamie Allen was about a week! Now been 4 and counting! MR not a physio so expect a little longer

If he’s only going to be out for a week, why bring a loan player in till Christmas?
I know Pask is out for a bit and Hickman has fucked his whole career up, but surely one of the other 40 odd defenders on our books can fill in for a week!
