You’re think questions like this would be asked at the pre match press conferences.

Can you give us an update on player not currently in the squad, max, Brown, Allen and pask ?

Does anyone know if Baka had an extension to his contract?

2 year deal signed in Aug 2018, so in theory he'll be off the books by the end of the season...

Max looked way off the pace at Bolton not just because he was stupidly played in the wrong position, but his overall sharpness eluded him. I fear his injury has finished him and that we won’t see Max again for the first team.

Surgeons say it takes 18 months to fully get back to fitness after an ACL op
Not sure how long ago he had his injury

Max signed 3 year contract July 18 so perhaps Robins is just getting him fit enough to make a difference from the bench. And after seeing him at Bolton confirmed he wasn’t fit enough.

He had brief sub appearance in league, he was pretty crap tbf. It's up to Max to prove he's in form and hungry, rather than any notions of him being a spoilt brat. I would think MR is giving Max the opportunity to prove his fitness and his sharpness in the u23s first.

Scoring quite a few for the under 23s.
So did Ponticelli and look where he's ended up.
Can't even get on the bench for Tranmere.

I don't think Max wants to go on loan
He loves it here and prefers to fight for another chance to get back in favour
Tbh while he's recovering from his ACL that's a very sensible attitude
It's a long hard season and injuries to people currently ahead of him in the pecking order may give opportunities as his fitness improves
Seams a bit cryptic by Mark. Doesn't want to loan him out.

But will he start picking him ?

Have to say and I’m not a Bakayoko knocker but what I’ve seen of him so far he’s been hopeless, Max has to be a better back at the moment,

Big Max fan but he did look terrible against Bolton, and even if played out of position, it's no excuse for your first touch being as bad as it was that day.

I think him not going out on loan is sensible. He had a bad injury last season, one which our Physio's are getting a lot of practice in rehabbing etc, and so why send him elsewhere when teams may not be as rigorous with his fitness, when we can keep him around, and we can monitor his rehab.return to fitness.

Max when fully match ........and that is "when", due to the nature of his injury .....would give us an alternative option in the way we play and could be a very useful impact player in this season.

If he sticks to the formation he has where would Biamou actually play?

would be good to play Max up top with Godden if chasing a game
nearly worked against Bolton once we brought him off the wing

Bakayoko is just Robins' vanity project

He’s basically saying can someone come and take him off the books

“There’s interest in him from other clubs. I am getting phone calls on him from clubs who want to take him on loan but I am not in any rush to do anything with Max ,”

He’s pretty much dropping a hint he can go.

If say after and hour or so we’re not looking threatening and Godden isn’t having an impact in the game, then bring Max on to change it up.
So if we are not looking threatening with Godden in the side, your suggesting Biamou would improve things! ???

REALLY???????

I got the impression he was suggesting it would only be a loan if the bean counters demanded it (unless he is trying to pass the blame on to others, which I would be disappointed with - prefer him to be open)

Although I much prefer Max to Baka, Baka has to be ahead of him in the squad if he is fit and Max is not yet. I hate seeing players who are not match fit turning out (Kastaneer). Let's use the Walsall game to give these guys some match time to catch up, whilst resting those who have played more for the Saturday game.
