Allen doesn't have the tricks or to run at players and take them on.

I must have Allen wrong then. I thought he was a ball carrying midfielder who could pick/thread a pass. Maybe without the tricks but essentially the same role.

He would just replace Shipley or Westbrooke.

Obviously we haven’t seen him yet but CAMs aren’t known for their work rate. Westbrooke and Shipley have been a huge part to our good start, not just the scoring and assisting goals but mainly their work rate has been phenomenal. Seems odd to bring in a player and then immediately play him out of position.

From preseason he looks more of a battler, he seemed to be everywhere hassling people and in their face as soon as they got the ball. Made some runs into the box as well.

Sounds perfect. Carlisle fans said he was Championship standard last year.

Seems to be able to play either AM in the three in the middle or the Jobello/Hiwula role if needed.

Excited for Saturday. Gutted I can’t watch the game

(Oh and: Captain America: Winter Solider > Bucky > Bucky O’Hare > Callum O’Hare)

It isn't Championship Manager. How would be playing a midfielder in midfield be 'out of position'?

If he’s match fit he will start ahead of Westbrook on Saturday
