Seems a bit of a stretch. Mark said there are around 1,000 active users. Are they all in there?

The last thing anyone wants on the forum is to wake the slumbering posters.

Talking about slumbering posters, are you MMM's internet love child?

I have literally no idea what this is and I’m on here most of the time. It’s because I have Grendel muted and so do many others.

Maybe picking the most divisive member to take a poll wasn’t the brightest idea?

He wasnt picked to do it,he volunteered and has raised so excellent points. I disagree with him on a lot of non CCFC stuff but he raises some great points about the Trust.

Point stands though. If even a few of the people who disagree with him got sick of his trolling and muted him the survey is worthless. I mean it’s worthless anyway, but this makes it doubly useless.

And he had the chance to put his money where his mouth is and showed what a blow hard coward he is. Grendels views on the Trust, like anyone else’s, are worthless if they don’t extend beyond keyboard warrioring.

You aren't ever going to find a poll where every single person takes part, it's unrealistic. The couple of hundred (from memory) that did is quite a big sample size. If you put the same questions on Facebook you wouldn't get anything near 15k responding (doubt you'd even get 500).

Let's put it this way - the trust haven't even bothered asking as many people as Grendel.

I disagree. It's more of an attempt to engage than the trust have made. He tried, he put some effort into it and generally tried to engage people - even those whose opinions differed (which is obviously well out of character). Just because most of us disagree with him on most other things doesn't mean what he's done around the Trust doesn't mean anything. Ultimately it is pointless, but only because the trust have no interest in engaging with fans.

I made the mistake of giving likes to Sky Blue Kid, ( who no longer posts on this forum anymore ) I DIDN'T AGREE with everything he said but when he said something I agreed with I would say so, BIG MISTAKE, the abuse ,the insults, all of the of the things you are having thrown at you, I even got accused of being Sky Blue Kids other account .

They will not give up, THEY WILL BORE YOU TO DEATH.

Bollocks. Me and him had loads of arguments but I also liked loads of his posts. Some I agreed with and some because he was funny. Never got abused for it.

As a side note, can he be unbanned. I miss him.

It's like any poll, it depends what question your asking to suit your agenda.

You'll notice I said active users and not posters. Also, the person I was quoting is a site moderator

Not sure where the 1,000 came from. We have 7,550 registered users. Currently approx 300 online, most online at one time is just short of 1,000 (on this version of the forum software).

Can't see easily how many of these post regularly.

Sample selection is about more than size. This place is self selecting both in terms of people that stick around for the Nick and Grendel show and in terms of who decides to click on the poll. That’s before you get to the fact that this place is seen by many as extremely biased and anti Coventry/Trust. Facebook is far less self selecting, though still not ideal. And AFAIK the Trust have surveyed their members which is more than 1k. At least they did when I was a member, I assume they still do.

I’ve got to say, I’d be surprised if the relatively niche views held by the faithful here were represented widely, if for no other reason than only this place gives you that particular media diet. Look at the hate anything that isn’t 100% the party line of “it’s all CCCs fault and Wasps are scum” gets, regardless of its source.

Any poll written by an amateur and left to self select is worthless. Like a Twitter poll.

I've not been polled by the trust in some time.

It’s not all the councils fault, it’s very much the fault of everyone involved. And wasps aren’t scum although I’d prefer it if they weren’t in Coventry.
