18th?

Well let's consider we lost our first game last season against a relegated team I'd say the officials cost us that today with several poor decisions, it was a poor performance overall and we lacked cutting edge but we will grow into this season..

We will be pushing for the playoffs no problem

An absolutely amazing reaction by some on this forum.

In terms of perspective, this is our second game of the season after winning the first. We absolutely dominated the game.

Positives to counter the total meltdown of some of the emotional lunatics on here (I believe some of the posters need immediate therapy):

GK, all 4 defenders look like the real deal.
Kelly was immense as always - should be in the Championship.
Shipley I thought was decent and energetic - he's very useful in a 4-3-3..
Jobello looks like a threat - some highly decent balls whipped in.
Godden got into some good positions on his debut and is also very good in the air. I saw many positives in his short time on the pitch.

Max I agree was off the pace (kind of understandable) and out of position but he still put the ball in the net.

Allen who will be our most positive influence in midfield will be back in a couple of weeks.

I expect to see 2 high quality loans.

4 points out of 6, lots of positives - let's move on to the next game,

He’s shite
I thought you'd reply on that.

I get it...you think hes shite. I'm saying, let him at least get match fit before writing him off this season.

Hes a CCFC player until he leaves. Lets see what he does when fully fit. If hes still not producing, fair enough.

Him and Gooden have played around the same amount of minutes together that it takes me to walk to the local shop. Let's see how the develop.

Bolton's players will have shit careers if they stay under Phil Parkinson for long. No way to develop your game.

Not having a pop at you, but seen this said a few times, hes a good player but the way people are talking him up, you'd think he was the next Pele. I dont see how he is going to make a huge difference to what's out there.

Saw him in 2 pre season games and he pushes the ball into gaps and can turn a player (also scores goals). My only concern about him is his injury. I have no doubt about his ability from what I have seen of him.

Think the telling stat is James Adcock has officiated just two games in the last two seasons after suffering through injuries during the last two campaigns.

Poor, very poor the level of officiating we get given

Oh crikey. When it was mentioned he'd suffered injuries I didn't realise they were brain/visual injuries.

That's comparable to Man City losing to Nuneaton.

Well that was a crap performance.

Three disallowed goals and little chances crated.

Fair play to Bolton's youth team, they deserved the point.

We will have far worse performances than this through the season and will get the result.

It levels out... The leagues very unpredictable and other sides have not clicked either notably Peterborough who’s spent how much on strikers last summer and this and are sat on zero points still.

Football, it’s a beautiful but frustrating game.

Talk about over reactions. We've had the most embarrassing result in the clubs history, to we're going to be languishing 17th in the table come the end of the season.

We've played 2 games, haven't been beaten, haven't conceded a goal and have 4 points.

People who think we're shit after having 2 points stolen by officials need a reality check
Should the leagues below the premier league have VAR like them then too? Good question in my opinion and I think they should, the rule changes this season apply to all of the leagues but VAR is only for the Prem? Back to the money thing again i suppose and still shows the divide between the premier league and anything else, the money is in the top league though and always will be because that is where the world interest is so don’t expect any different, going back to our result though and performance, we have to win them games and create more chances that aren’t gonna be subject to poor officiating by scoring goals that can’t allow that to happen, it is what it is and we should have created more and had more efforts that wouldn’t give the officials a chance to intervene, anyway onwards and upwards let’s see how we progress

We were playing a youth team. This result and the performance are utter embarrassments. Offside goals or not we were awful today. Any other team in this league would have comfortably won today.

I said we would be 17th last week and I've seen nothing to counter my view

Football don’t exist outside the premier league, haven’t you heard the season started this weekend.
