As we’ll be playing either 433 of 4231, will we keep 3 out and out strikers in the squad in Godden, Baka and Biamou, surely not?

For me, I don’t actually think Baka’s performance last week deserves him to be dropped for this Saturday (although I think he will be if Godden is fit) , him and Godden should battle it out and then have one of the u23’s as a back up/different dimension. I’m thinking a 3-6 month loan for Biamou to a top half L2 team would do him good to get up to speed? Instead of sitting on the bench which seems likely now Godden’s signed.

I actually thought the same myself. Maybe see how the next few weeks unfold but wouldn't be surprised to see Biamou go on loan at the end of August to a League 2 club up to Christmas

I prefer Kersleydigs but each to their own.
On a serous note it’s early days and now we have signed a striker let’s see how we go for a few weeks. Formation should change every week depending on who you play unless your that twat who took over I think it was Russel Slide. Dark days indeed.

I don't think godden will be fully match fit yet. Can see him being brought on off the bench.

We need depth don't we though and they each bring something different to the team.
I'm interested to know (depending on who the other 2 loan signings Robins wants are), where Robins sees Kastaneer playing predominantly because he is supposed to be pretty versatile.

Lots of games, will be injuries. Need some depth to the squad. Before we signed Godden, everybody was saying how weak Saturday's squad looked. Keep Max for now, give him a few cup games (coming up soon) and let him have a loan spell after Christmas - if necessary, when we've seen the lay of the land.

Loan Biamou out then Godden or Baka pick up and injury and we're light. Long season, best to have the option.

Id keep them also if we are chasing a game we could spring both off the bench

I was thinking earlier that long term this is a fight between Max and Baka to stay. As Max has a few years left on the contract but Baka only until the end of this season Max would have the earlier advantage but Baka is younger. Also might mean Max is eventually loaned out to get fit and give Baka the chance to show his worth.

We have the insurance cup. Fa cup and league cup. 2 forwards is not enough. Looking forward to seeing the 16yo play vs Exeter next week if he gets on. Been watching some England schoolboy games and he looked sharp. Nangu too should get a run out and is improving all the time.

Agreed. Just not ideal as he definitely needs minutes somewhere.

Seen a couple of people mention a foreign striker we may be interested in. Did Dave Boddy mention something to some supporters on Sat?

If anything going to happen is he will loan allisani and Wakefield out have hiwalu on left godden in middle and on of the foreign lads on the right with the other being back up, I would prefer to see max up top with gooden as max link up play is far better than baka I honestly don't see what baka has but he is young he has time yet.

apparently Lionel Messi has been looking to do a similar swap to Rooney, Robins was only happy to oblige

Biamou is currently playing role of interpreter between Jobello and Robins. He is our only French/English speaker, so I assume this might come into it?

I think a loan would do Biamou good, but it depends how much Robins values him terms of helping Jobello settle here....

I think Biamou will go on loan, especially once Kastaneer is fit again as that frees up Hiwula to play as a striker too if needs be.

All our strikers will be called on 100% 3 strikers plus hiwula is about right- need options of the bench plus lot of games we will get injuries and dips in form to deal with

I would be shocked if MAx went out on loan. Robins has said how he wants to be cautious with his return, so why would you then send him away from the club, where you have no control over his training/playing minutes?

  • With MR potentially looking to bring in 2 more attacking players, it would be the obvious Solution to let at least one go, either permanently or on loan. Biamou being the obvious one imho.

Because he’s not good enough, and won’t get game time here.
