Hyam for Rose if he's fit other than that I'd keep the same 11

Depends what’s happening with players coming in but, given their plight (sounds strange coming from cov), we’ve got to fancy a win.

Tougher game than people think, hopefully allen back and hyam , city win 2-1

Id go with a midfield of Kelly Allen and Westbrooke if all fit

No Rose will keep the spot if he is fit. Can’t see it going ahead but without any new signings the team will be unchanged.

Is there talk of the game being cancelled? they played on Saturday, be a bit weird if this game doesn't get on

They were away on Saturday. I don’t see how this will be allowed to go ahead with no tickets sold in advance. Do we even know if the ground is ready to host the game?

EFL suspending the game is better for them surely as it gives them more time to get their squad in order? Understand its sh$t for their fans but the league rescheduling this game would leave us at a big disadvantage surely?

Bloody hell! I hadn’t properly thought about that. What happens in that event? Do they give us the win? Played at a later date? More points deduction for them?
Match would be postponed to a later date, pending a FL inquiry.

You could say there's no real incentive for them to get the game on this weekend as opposed to playing it in 2 months time when/if they are better prepared. At least if there is the punishment of losing 3 points hanging over them they are more likely to get it on.

I actually expect this to go ahead. The takeover is expected this week, I imagine everything is lined up once th takeover takes place, so everything will fall into place. The EFL, would not leave such a postponement to the last second, only have to look at Bury to see that them cancel it on Friday last week? I would think the proof of finances they had to submit, included the ability to get this game on.

I feel sorry for their situation but it im not sure they should get extra time to organise a more functional squad. Doesn't seem fair to me, especially if it bunches up our fixtures down the line

Really good time to play them so hope the game goes ahead, not sure when the EFL would make a decision to call it off?

Seems possible...

Thanks. So could the inquiry dish out further punishments? It seems harsh if they did.
Yes, further punishment could be imposed, but most likely the game would be rearranged.
The FL would probably be seeking reassurance regarding future fixtures etc.
But could in theory at least, expel Bolton, in which case every other team would be given 3 points and a 1-0 goal difference. But this would be an absolute last resort.
While buyers are still involved, loans of cash from the FA and support from other teams for players would be the way to go.

The chances of this going ahead are 50/50 at best.

Hyam and Allen on the bench: Robins' record seems to be that no matter how good you are, if the team wins in your absence then you go to the subs bench first, even if you then get brought on during the game. He has been fairly consistent about that. It's a good policy as it rewards success and means the players know exactly where they stand. In particular it would be harsh to drop Westbrooke (goal / played well apparently) for the returning Allen, who he was covering for.

Has Westbrooke a future as a kind of Bright, rather than a poor man's Bayliss - playing in the number 10 slot? He has the foot skills

I think this one will go ahead (which suits us more than them).

no changes to starting 11 unless a signing is made.

Don't think Allen will be fit to start and wouldn't change the back 4.

Another win by 1 goal which i think I'll be saying a few times this year.

Thought Westbrooke played very well and the cherry on top was the goal!

He was industrial, worked hard at closing down, very tidy and clever on the ball with a couple of great through balls/passes. I feel his decision making is good, might even say it's better than Bright's from the cameo's ZW had last season and from Sat's game, eg. he didn't hold on to the ball too long and get caught. I thought he got forward well too, making runs ahead of the striker(s).

Also, it depends what MR's preferred formation is this season, as he's gone 4-3-3 which I don't think would suit Bright as much(?) and you need an energetic/busy player in the 3 midfielders.
If he reverts to 4-2-3-1 then I feel bright as that no. 10 would be better than ZW.

Bolton website says tickets on sale - presumably to home fans - but you need to register on line. I'll be phoning soon to see if I can get away tickets for disabled supporters.
