Apologies if this has already been said, but does this just sound like Forest changed their mind? I thought he'd been set for a loan to us that was geared up to be made permanent, but from the quotes coming out of Lincoln it sounds more like Forest see him potentially as someone who will come back and fight for the first team next season. If that's the case, there's not a great deal that we could do about that really as it'll just come down to which club Forest has the better relationship with.

I would guess that his mate at Lincoln had a word and persuaded him to go there. If he went to the staff at Forest and said he didn't want to come to Coventry he wanted to go to Lincoln would they force him to come here even if there was an agreement in place?

I think Robins is saying that to try and drive prices down on his other targets. He’s clearly indicating he’s got no funds when that isn’t the case and he’s not the sort to comment on players going to other teams.

Yes but not sure how that works for him when chairmen & managers etc have a pretty good handle on other clubs financial situations and agents & clubs will have a pretty good idea on the value of the deals we have done. Not to mention their own clubs expectations or needs from their player valuations. There are few secrets in the football world. Think it is more for fans consumption if he fails to bring in the 3 signings he mentioned

I'm sure there's people that would love us to get done 5-0 tomorrow so they can bang on about how bad everything is.
Yes, the NOPM brigade off facebook, and those who think "all the money is going to SISU"... I'll add in the "Away games only" bunch too... all with absolutely no idea of how their views are affecting the club, yet still moaning about player sales and people not signing....

Has anyone pointed this out to them?

How many players would want to come to Coventry and play in an empty stadium in Birmingham, especially if they have other options?

The sad cold hard truth is that we're about as attractive as Theresa May and Anne Widdecombe having a naked mud wrestle.
Or play in a city where the local council have done their best to kill the local football club and sold them out to a franchise rugby club from London

Also add the "I will watch it on a dodgy stream" wankers as well

It's just a matter of fact. If your short term business decisions decrease your main source of revenue by two thirds then your expenditure will decrease by the same.
Let's just hope Bayliss was a bonus and not already catered for.

Were we not given reassurances that the playing budget would not be impacted by any move away from the Ricoh ?? Pretty sure Sepalla told Robins that ....

Turned into a 'pile on' thread. Our club. Support them however you feel fit, but no need to snarl at each other. No need.

Sorry but it doesn’t say in your link anywhere that sisu we’re banking on the Wilson money? So you made that up.

robins isn’t going to come out with it is he? but he clearly states money so what’s changed especially as Bayliss gone too ontop Chaplin?

Forest seem to suggest that he preferred the move to Lincoln. So have you maybe just thought it was the players choice?

None what's your point?

Please tell me how many players we signed before that date? Please show me a fact. Not a conspiracy theory.

are you on the sisu payroll? yes we signed players before that date but 3 weeks have passed and not one player in. is our team perfect? No. has robins said in the article money was a problem? yes. no conspiracy at all. truth lies in what’s occurred since the 12th. 3 million in and not one penny spent.
