Could one of the young kids step up?, like Wilson did the last time we had to play our home games outside of Cov.

If Bayliss leaves there are potential ones to step up. N'Gandu and Burroughs being the main ones I can think off. Westbrooke can also stake his claim although he doesn't have that drive forward with the ball at his feet and Allen could have been brought in as his replacement - he certainly looks more of a goal threat.

He's not really in the frame at the moment
Bapaga is very highly rated and is ahead of Bremang now
Reckon we'll see him off the bench sooner rather than later

Maybe in something like the League Cup or Checkatrade but if I were MR I'd be looking to keep my powder dry on him until he's turned 17 and we've tied him to a pro deal.

Not yet but think we might this season. Hope so anyway. Couple of the youngsters need to get a go unlike Ponti. If they’re good enough they are old enough.

Ponti doesn't seem to get the rub of the green does he. Last year loan got injured first game when he could've shown what he could do. This year goes out on loan then we sell one of our strikers and his potential replacement goes elsewhere and he would've been heavily involved in matchday squads at this current time.

I honestly don't think Ponti is the answer, he really isnt as good as some people make out.

He's also not as bad as some make out. He's got deficiencies for sure but he's also got qualities too. One thing he is good at is in front of goal. The type of striker we're missing is one who regularly sticks the ball in the net. I honestly could see him having an Armstrong style influence on our team - when he turned up people were unhappy we'd left our main striking option to a kid on loan they'd barely heard of if at all. The fact he's largely unknown could work in his favour in that people don't know what to expect.

For me he's one of those we would be moving on quite quickly on way or another. I also think the fact he hasn't had that cosseting in an academy from a young age makes him want it that bit more and up his effort just that little bit.

I may be wrong, but I think he's got a few goals in him if given the chance.

I don't disagree he can put the ball in the next when given the chance.. his problem is getting the chance. He wouldnt have an Armstromg effect because Armsteong had the pace and the brain to make runs in behind. Pont just isnt quick enough to do this or big enough to hold the ball up. His ability to put it away is unquestionable... his ability to get into a position to put it away at league one level is.

That’s a great shout.

Sam Winnall just about the right age, experience and player for our system.

He’ll be looking at a championship club though surely.

Maybe he would prepared to drop a division to get more game time - wages possibly more of a stumbling block. If he was a loan signing, I wonder how much the parent club would contribute to them? Surprised another Championship side has not signed him already (don't know if he was injured last season, only made 7 starts for Wednesday).

I agree with you though, he would be spot on for us.

It would be mental to take a punt on Berahino wouldn't it?! id imagine even tho he is basically Toxic he would want more than we can offer. one bonus could be he would be able to get an uber to training!

such a fall from grace, there must be a player in there somewhere considering how highly rated he once was.

send in Agent Bigi
