“League One and League Two Clubs will have until 5pm on Monday 2 September, 2019, due to August 31 falling on a Saturday.”

Yeah but if Forest aren’t letting him go cos they need another striker, then it will be resolved one way or another next Friday as they won’t be able to get anyone else in

Even the piece you put tells you the answer. Robins will have someone 'lined up', that does not mean bought and through the door, it means 'ready'.
Then maybe we should take a leaf out of Forest's book (or Portsmouth last season) and not let him leave until its all sorted?

one big factor most have overseen is the non move of wilson. we were banking on the wilson windfall of say 4 mill. since wilson signed a contract we haven’t signed any other players. we needed the Chaplin money but that money won’t be reinvested

Is that based on fact or just something you have made up? We had already made 10 signings by the time Wilson signed? Whether Wilson left or not, we were only going to make 11/12 signings. still have a whole month to get 2 more.

That money will be reinvested. Maybe not on the striker, but it will be reinvested in the club on the whole.

ok look at the facts.

season ticket sales halved from last season.
Rent at Birmingham is more than the Ricoh
sisu were banking on the wilson clause for the extra revenue. since wilson signed a contract no new players have come in we’re 3 days away with a very lightweight front line

On the whole SISU haven't really invested at all, same budget as last year and using freed up wages from a quarter of the team leaving... Lets see if they can stump up and help MR finish our attack off

So you have one fact out of 3 points? Give me strength.
Please provide evidence to show the rent is more?
Please also provide evidence Sisu were banking on the Wilson clause? Then these will be facts.

The season is not won on the 3rd of August.

No idea if the rent is more expensive but I bet it's a damn sight cheaper than having to cover wasps' costs if they are found to have done something wrong by the EU when they bought the Ricoh

Of course, I want City to play in Coventry, but honestly it was like sharing a house with a landlord you don't get on with. Have a split, all be it in another city maybe sort out a few things;
SISU may be forced into finding land where we can build a stadium
SISU and Wasps may be able to sort things out (they have a year) - we may also get promoted which looks more appealing
We can focus on the field of play rather than the politics
NONE of the above

But, I promise you I am going to enjoy this season as much as I possibly can

lol ok.
how else were sisu going to cover the costs of not playing at the Ricoh? we will find out how much the rent is end of the year with the accounts but I have it on good authority it’s 4x the amount at the Ricoh

Sisu have already said they will be covering the costs themselves (outside of the playing budget) also as well you have to consider we have signed 10 players, paying fees for at least 3 of them (the two wingers and Allen that I can remember off the top of my head) so that won't have come cheap plus the signing on/agent fees for them and the other players.

I honestly believe that if we were playing at the Ricoh this season our squad would look exactly the same as it does now and of course Sisu are going to pocket some of the money from Chaplin to help balance the books, any team in the country would if they sold a player who would be starting as a sub for double the money they paid for him 6 months ago, that's just simple business

Remember the “we’re going for it” sales pitch I’m sure the next couple of days we will see if we really are.
