I've had about 7 Rockblocks featured on there in about 2 years. I enjoy doing them and they seem to like my choices. They say they will contact you but never do, so you just tune in every night and 1pm on Saturdays.
I've had people say they want to do a Rockblock but never do for some reason, it's easy enough. Just list 20 tracks you Like, and give a comment on why etc and that's it.
Impressive - is there not a time limit ?- I love the long player program - heard something different on the buried treasure thing the other day from a band called Dead Meadow - have now downloaded it - right whacky

That's the down side to the Rockblock as you pick 20 tracks, they choose from your list about 10 or 11 so as to fit them in the hour. But they annoyingly break it up with adverts just as its in full flow ! But other than that it's entertaining dont you think ?
Here's some tracks I've picked for my latest one on cover versions. Mettalica/ Whisky In The Jar. Motorhead/ Heroes. Van Halen/You Really Got Me. Judas Priest/ Diamonds And Rust. Iron Maiden/Cross Eyed Mary. Machine Head/Message In A Bottle. Thunder/ Gimme Shelter. Hendrix/ All Along The Watchtower. Limp Bizkit/ Faith. Guns N Roses/ Knockin On Heavens Door. Saxon /Ride Like The Wind. And a few more.

My mate went with his missus. He's a massive Manic Street Preachers fan who headlined. He said the Specials went down well, and in the crowd was a Sky Blues flag /banner flying !

Tbh the Manics are my favourite band so were the main attraction. I do like The Specials though, thought they would be of more interest to a Coventry-centric board too.

It was a novel experience, as much as I like attending a gig/festival there was something special about having a BBQ and beer with the family while your favourite band play a few hundred metres away.

One time at The Monsters Of Rock at Donnington me and my mate after copious amounts of lager for some reason decided to walk out the venue to buy t-shirts outside. We bought Ozzy Osbourne t-shirts and tried to get back in again, but the security said no way, rules are rules etc, leave the venue and you can't come back in even with wrist bands and tickets. Gutted ! We stood outside for an hour listening to the music and sobering up. Anyway we both said let's walk around and get over the fence. And so were half a dozen other lads, and how we did it was unbelievable as it was high, but adrenaline racing all of us got over with all of us cut and bleeding from the fence. But we were being watched and all of us got led out by security, and they said go or we'll get arrested. But undeterred we all sat outside listening to Ozzy Osbourne ! The things you do when young and fit !

Yeah I downloaded a fair bit of his stuff recently
A good catalogue!!
A mate of mine is always giving me CDs and recently gave me the Cat Stevens one. Really enjoying it. Some I've never heard before, but tracks like Father and Son, and Wild World, still sound great.
