Yes went to Bangkok about 18 months ago - no we just filled the thing out on the plane and just said event hosting and conferences

Found out today we are meeting up with a company whose representative played for Sutton Utd in that infamous city game.

What kind of places do you like to go on holiday?
And what kind of activities do you like to do?
I'm curious.
Basically I can't sit around doing nothing. Historic towns or countryside as long as there's good walking, cycling . A pool is a plus . Love snow and mountains . Can't stand modern or stinking hot places. You ?

I feel I'm wasting my time if I sit around doing nothing. I can do that at home.
I don't like snow or anywhere cold, rainy or windy. I've had enough of that in the past.
I'll go anywhere I haven't already been (or places I've already been if I like them enough) that's not too hot or too cold.
Plusses are the ocean, beach walks, shell and pebble collecting, wildflowers, quaint towns, small cafes, thrift shops, antique shops, bookshops, anywhere photogenic.

Looks like there's a giant on the right, and have you noticed the legs without any bodies? ;)

Croyde in N Devon on hottest day ever. And still checking SBT. Daft or dedicated I really don't know lol

We’re just up the road in Woolacombe. It’s roasting. Was on Tuesday too. Waves have been good for the last couple of days. Almost had my board break a few times. The lifeboat has been out more than usual.

Yeah saw a helicopter heading that way earlier glad it wasn't you lol. Might pop over that way next week grandkids like that mini fun park near the chemist.

Actually to add to the thread What’s everyone reading or listening to during their travels ? I’m going to listen to dead mans trousers by Irvine Welsh

Just read Kill em all the follow up to kill your freinds by John Niven. I'd recommend both.

Down to the coast for a few days next week got a few books to catch up on, non fiction I've got the subtle art of not giving a fuck and I'll take a fiction with me, not sure what.
Could do with some new podcast recomendations

Off to Spain in 2 weeks. Will be armed with the revered author Simon Gilbert’s book. Will no doubt get me suitably angry to shout at shopkeepers.

Taking the girls to Woolacombe for a week, Twitchen House, looks quite good.

Would love to take them abroad for the first time but the cost in the summer is ridiculous.

Have you priced up a Euro camp type holiday somewhere drivable like Holland or Brittany?
I've not done it myself, (mainly due to hating driving for more than a couple of hours), but I believe there's some good deals to be had.

For those of us staying in the UK, looks like the weather turns a bit next week.
Still be hot but wetter. Make sure you pack those playing cards and board games!
