not really was talking to a friend who told me 3 months ago we were signing a dutch winger to give him some credibility. i said i thought we would be at st andrews for the season he surprised me when he said he thought it would be a lot less, i tend to believe what he says but there were no specifics

was given the smallest hint today that our stay at st andrews may not be as long as we all dread
Not another "I heard this from a mate's uncle who walks his dog in the same park that Joe the Milkman uses when he's not delivering milk to Arnold Blenkinsop who knows the bloke that delivers newspapers to Mark Robins next door neighbour-but-one."?

Tbh isn't this what Dave Boddy said to a fan at the kit launch?
Really the ball is in Wasps and CCC's court

I remember the rumours a year or two ago when we were definitely going to be taken over before Christmas.

Not sure how he can be so sure unless he’s connected with wasps. The main thing stopping a Ricoh deal is wasps not giving reasonable terms isn’t it?

Obviously I hope common sense prevails and we can return to Coventry at the Ricoh.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us return before christmas if compromises were made to strike a deal but then I also wouldn't be surprised for nothing to change and we have the whole season at St Andrew's.

This time around their seems a far greater desire from SISU and CCFC to return to the Ricoh so hopefully sooner rather than later everyone can get together and agree a deal.

Be interesting if we did end up playing Southend at the Ricoh would it be treated like the Gillingham return.

A nice pitch at St Andrews won’t last all season. Don’t know why so many people cling desperately onto this whole pitch thing.

Nobody is clinging on to anything. They see it for what it is, a small positive in a sea of negatives.

No reason to think the pitch at St Andrews will deteriorate, it didn't last season. Most pitches hold up well nowadays, that pitch we played on at Pompey in April was like a carpet. The Ricoh pitch was terrible, a lot worse than it looked owing to the copious amounts of green dye used.

Anyway, it'll probably be academic, as I suspect we'll be back by Christmas. Hopefully the minimal use up to that point and the late start to the Rugby season will mean the pitch holds up a lot better.

I dunno. I took a look at B’ham highlights in the thick of winter and you could see it looked a bit worse for wear. But like you I think we will be back sooner rather than later

Nick, sort of on topic...just been looking at the myth busting sticky.

Would be good for simpletons like me to get the timeline updated with all the new information that's come out in the past few months such as the approach to Wasps in 2011/2012.

Think I'm gonna be down for the Bristol game, planning on getting the train over to the game from Tile Hill or Canley, Do trains from Coventry still stop at Adderley Park? As I think this is closer than New street to St Andrews and are there any decent pubs between said station and the ground?

Nope, they haven't for a while.
