A customer on my round told me yesterday not to get angry with him. I said why should I be angry have you got a new window cleaner ? No he replied that after great thought he'd got a season ticket for our matches in Brum. He's a smashing old chap in his 70's who I've known for years. Told him not to be silly it's his choice, you do what feels right. He said he felt guilty etc, as he knows im not going, but thats my choice, i don't judge nobody.
But it shows the tension already festering amongst us fans, at any age.

I haven't really seen any apart from a very small number of accounts online who are very much anti CCFC anyway.

I can't be bothered to argue or get worked up about it. It is what it is. But another customer said the best thing that could happen, is for nobody to go and they'd soon be back at the Ricoh ? He supports West Ham so I ignored that , but he has a point.

I suspect that's more because of the tension last time around and all of the scab type nonsense. I've hardly seen any of that which is a good thing!

the only real ones I know against it this time are those so blinded by their hatred for the owners, they just think everything is their fault & they have gone past the point of being able to see anything other than that.... and they are small minority now

Everyone else I know can see its totally different this time & most of them even accept that it was maybe what we thought last time either!

Not saying the above applies to everyone, just the friends and family my end

I think that depends on the person. I don't feel I have to justify going to St Andrews anymore than I did when I went to Sixfields.

There are many reasons why people won't go, lots will not go because it's not in Coventry, expense, extra time, unable to travel etc. A lot of people will be "silent" about it as such rather than shouting at people who do go like happened last time.

I do feel guilt for going for some people, those who still want to watch their team play but physically can't for various reasons and the choice isn't theirs.

Some people want to create tension, either via blind anger towards SISU or as part of an organised agenda to stop people going.

I agree (which may surprise you). Last time we left through a commercial choice of the owners and the Ricoh was always an option just they didn't want to pay for it. When the crowds were way below their expectations because they thought fans were just addicts who could be fleeced they realised financially they had to come back.

This time the Ricoh isn't an option unless court cases are dropped etc which is very unlikely to happen so even if no-one goes we can't just go back.

Your sons validation is far more important than some blow hard on social media or in the pub.
And he probably won't want to go with you forever so enjoy it while it lasts.

To put things into perspective and why I'm fairly chilled out about our move again.
Today my pal who's a tough ex boxer is at the funeral of his wife who passed away recently. And only yesterday a customer told me I was welcome to come to his partners funeral on Monday, she only was ill for a few months. As much as we love football and it is a big part of our lives, when I saw the despair/sadness of these 2 strong blokes, I thought it's nothing compared to what they're going through.

When the move was announced there were a few that tried to cause a bit of tension but they got no validation so haven't kept on. The club's Facebook posts always get a few people having a go but they always had, Facebook is full of people wanting to complain about anything.

I think the fundraising going so well this season is an indication of how people feel. Even people who have decided not to go to St Andrew's have donated as they respect it is a personal decision and there has been no huge call to boycott.

Crowds will be down as some just can't attend and some don't think it's correct, which is their right, but I don't think we're going to see anywhere near the fracture of Sixfields.

I don’t think this constant assuming bad intentions from anyone who disagrees is particularly helpful. We all love the club and having us move away for any reason is bound to get tensions high.

Does it annoy anybody else when a fan of another team shares their opinion on what they’d do in this situation? When they know nothing much about it, and clearly haven’t had to put up with this shit first hand.

The club have made it clear they want to be in Cov, it’s nothing like Sixfields when the club needed pressure putting on them to change their mind.
