Sorry failed to upload photo. Anyway Bakayoko’s socks are on upside down!!!

I tried to figure out how this was possible and realised that the team aren’t wearing sky blue socks at all but sleeves over normal ankle socks.

Sock-gate.

Players are starting to cut the feet of the socks, not sure why but been going on for a few years now

If you look at Hiwula he has white socks on which are pulled up under th sky blue sock

All of them in that photo have footless socks on - kind of like compression sleeves. They must have come like that. Baka has his on upside down, either Mason or Hiwula are wearing theirs back to front.

Stirrup socks... Widely available now... Allows the players to wear comfier socks, also some of the sport socks offer a bit of protection to the foot as well.

Having lived in Germany for many years, they have been around Europe since the 80's. All the German teams I played for had them.

They’re upside down, inside out, footless socks. If you imagine it’s basically just a cylinder you can put them on upside down and then the white bit is at the bottom. Typically the white bit is on the inside and mostly hidden since you roll down a big part of it and double it up.

They're basically leg warmers like the onesteenage girls used to wear.
They'll be coming out wearing boppers next.

Bayern Munich, Kaiserslautern, Hamburg...an illustrious career.
Near Hamburg but not quite. The equivalent of level 7 in this country. I enjoyed it more as I got older and we didn't take it too seriously. Beer at 1\2 time of we were thrashing the opposition or if we were getting thrashed. Ah the good old days.
