My idea of a football day is similar to some and a world away from others - It does not just the game and watching my team its the chance to meet up with your mates and talk sh--t and have a few beers - a full day out - had no plans to go to Birmingham and thought what a boring year I'm going to have - shopping or watching Jeff Stelling telling his little jokes as the goals went in - never went to Northampton would not dream of going to Burton (as the day would not appeal to me)
Birmingham came up and I was asked to go by mates immediately said NO- was then asked why? and said would not want to encourage the owners by giving them my money - Things of late have changed for me - particularly Mark Robins appeal and some of the comments and statements that at one time was pointing the finger at one party
My opinion is all three sides are to blame and they will continue arguing and debating and blaming each other but I just want to watch football -(not interested in the politics just the football) Obviously would not have the slightest issue with someone not attending but I want to back Mark Robins and the team home and away and hopefully mine and my mates money help keep Robins in control and keep, this great club going that above all everything is most important to us - Things will change into the future and hopefully we will be back home at the Ricoh before Xmas

I don't get the wouldn't want to give the owners money line but would then go anyway as it's backing the manager?

my original thoughts and reasoning was I did not want to encourage the owners by attending Birmingham - I have changed my mind -my money will now obviously go to the owners that in turn will hopefully help keep robins in place

Good post from an open minded fan who I hope is thoroughly entertained next season. I have always been very anti wasps and the council and seen the anti CCFC coulusion between the two parties.

I maybe being a bit parinod but could anyone foresee, should attendances be high, SISU seeing that as an endorsement of CCFC not playing in Coventry longer term?

I think it's safe to say attendances won't be anywhere near Ricoh levels, regardless of who blames who.

Only way it'd happen long term is a great deal on a stadium somewhere. That won't happen while we rent St Andrews...

Fair play, I know this is not as easy a decision for some as it was for myself because of my view on the events that have brought us to this point.

It's worth saying though that your money won't go anywhere near the owners, it goes straight to the club and then straight out again to cover costs.

I'd like to think not, I'd also hope the EFL would ensure we get back to Cov at some point. But then again...

I’ve been trying to convince my dad since the announcement to go to Brum (stubborn 78 year old who only reads the Telegraph)! Aside from all the politics we agreed it’s not too much hassle on a match day to get there from Walsgrave. The info released recently has softened him and the £5 coach travel could be the clincher. Can see a few more following.

To be fair it's not giving the owners money as it probably being spent on wages and other things to do with the team.So the NOPM people hasn't worked they have just missed the football but I would like to know how many of them went to Wembley twice.

I think it’s probably fair to say that the owners are probably not concerned about moving the team again. Maybe not rubbing their hands with glee but for their own strategy I’m sure St Andrews has enough pluses to that strategy that at the least they’re indifferent.

As a fan though the big difference is this between Sixfields and St Andrews. It’s well within Wasps gift to allow CCFC remain at the Ricoh without any ridiculous conditions. We can say that with absolute confidence as that’s the exact scenario we’ve been at the Ricoh under since returning from Sixfields.

Now for me regardless of what SISU are doing Wasps attitude and behaviour has neutralised that. So that really only leaves me with one decision. Do I want to go and watch CCFC or not. The answer is of course yes I do. So I’m going. Not sure how many times, not planning on buying a match package at this time but I’m not ruling it out either.

Sad state of affairs to be honest. I ve always gone with friends to the games as season ticket holders. Non of us went to Northampton just away games.
Now Im going to go to Birmingham, the others will not. My lads playing football on a Saturday now so hes out.
I ll be all on my own lol. Im probably going to get a JSB membership for one of the grandkids and attempt to drag one of them with me so even having a beer will be out.
God Im depressed, bloody Coventry City. Pusb

99% went to Wembley I would imagine. NOPM was a flawed idea and was spearheaded by those who had blind hatred for SISU. The thinking of most open minded fans appears to have shifted slightly since.

Me too. Two seasons worth of (home) abstinence have led me to re-think. No season ticket (I'll be renewing at BPA) but I will attend as and when.

It’s crazy isn’t it, Newcastle’s ave attendances were only 16k in 1990 when in what is now the championship, everyone’s come out the woodwork now they are in prem

Not sure that example works at all. Football is a much bigger game now and attendances have been rising across all leagues in recent years.
Look at Bradford they have a superb average attendance in L2. Out potential fan base is bigger than theirs, but we hav3 far more apathetic supporters. Which to some degree I understand as we have been in a long time decline.

Bradford have a superb average because they slashed season ticket prices.

In which case when we get to Prem , attendances will have risen and it won’t be glory hunting ccfc fans, it will be that football is a bigger game. Get your point, but I suspect that if Newcastle were in championship or below for 10 years plus, their attendances will go down as well

Before 2013 Bradford had not had a season average higher than ours in their entire history. Their recent higher gates are the direct result of season ticket prices. When you're paying £6.50 a game it's a no brainer. You'd only have to go to a third of the games to make it worthwhile. Their official attendances are usually way higher than the number of people in the ground.
