Sky blue trust motion (1 Viewer)

It does t even bother you that the secretary - roger Ellis - has to approve a motion and even if it gets that far 66% of attendees have to approve as policy?

I could put a motion together and have 500 trust members agree this and then it still gets rejected?
Go ahead, do what you want to do, and lay out what's happened on here and, if you're not going yourself, I'll happily back you up if I think it's worth querying... and if I think this time is the right time to do so.

But I suspect the best way to get a change in approach is to show a unified approach and a coherant voice. I'm pretty sure that despite the jolly bickering you, BHSB and Tony are on similar pages wrt what the Trust should be doing, so it seems an ideal opportunity to get that voice across, no?

And process can indeed be an argument, but first the voice has to be made.

Then fucking ask him rather than coming on here acting the twat. Then you can come back on here with the answer can't you

Yes and let’s remind us all about Mr Ellis - what staggers me is the vitriol from you when I dig up his past. Out if interest if the motion concerned his suitability how would I get last him as in the constitution he seems to have the say on the motions to be approved?

Nothing to do with him it's you first you're going to then you have conditions. My anger is because we all said we would vote for you but you've reverted to type. I couldn't care less about him you're on twitter you know he is then you're asking how to get in touch. Just do it or is that difficult. As an aside when have I ever responded about him. No doubt you will find one post if it exsists.

I would like to know as a member of the trust how you can put a policy motion in that will be discussed at one of the upcoming meetings? Does it require a number of other members to support the motion?

Can a motion be suggested on line and then this can be confirmed by the board the meeting date that this will then be discussed? How can it be made to be discussed?

Then can someone please explain the process for approval of the motion? Is this a ballot of all members of restricted to those who end the meeting at which the motion is discussed?

Email it over [email protected]

Is this really the leader of the trust? I hope this is a joke link and the name is just a coincidence. If not I am very worried and would relish a verbal dialogue in a public forum with this champagne socialist.

It would be nice if their website actually made it easy to find when their next meeting is...

AGM is on 15th July. 7:30 at the Albany. I’ll get the website updated.

I would 100% love to play my part. But I don't drink much midweek, work until 7pm most days and live about 40mins from the location they meet in.

Thank you for the detail. Had to laugh when I read the self employed photographer bit!! Am sure his gold plated pension and pay off for failure mean he does not have to take many pictures.
Look forward to hearing how the next trust meeting goes. Be great if somone could ask if minuets of the meeting (if that's a thing they do) could be posted on here?

I think their motions would be the same as the rest of us, unless it was a balti the night before.

Odd question. How can I tell if I am a member of the Trust? I vaguely remember giving £1 and signing something outside the Ricoh many years ago when I very much felt like there needed to be a presence and voice of the fans against the current ownership. However, I wouldn't want to give the Trust a penny under their current guise and I believe you have to be a member to attend, so would need to know if theoretically I can attend.

Should be £5 a month regular membership and less for season ticket holders. Membership has to be active for 6 months to vote on any proposals and all votes are carried out online.

Gives the trust money to actually do stuff and stops it being a sisu our echo chamber of blokes who can get to the pub on Tuesday night.

Also saw Moz on twitter chatting merrily away to a parody account. No connection at all though, definitely not.

Must be like when I was told Fisherbaiter was nothing to do with them but was posting pictures from the bus with them on a protest.

Sadly they think everybody is thick as pig shit.

It's part of the Secretary's job to check that motions submitted to the AGM by a member, conform to the rules. i.e. Roger Ellis can't reject a motion just because he doesn't like a member's face. He has to giving the member valid reason, quoting the relevant rule that's being broken. In fact a half-decent Secretary would suggest ways of re-wording the motion, (in general terms), so that it would conform to the rules and be accepted.

Grendel, sorry I may have missed it but what motion are you proposing to be put forward?

It was request with regarding a policy statement that urges all people on the CV to boycott wasps and other ACL related activities until such time the club return to Coventry

Of course the rules mean it won’t get discussed anyway
