Boris could be one MP down before even getting the job Welsh Tory MP unseated after petition

Traditionally a Lib Dem constituency until 2015 but the Brexit Ltd polled strongly in the Euro’s winning that seat as a much wider constituency. Not that that seemed to make a difference in the Peterborough by election. Could be a very interesting by election. Especially if Brexit Ltd run a candidate that splits the Tory and Labour vote.

Mark Field isn't having the best day either. Sure they'll do everything they can to keep him in his seat rather than trigger a by-election there as well.

He wouldn’t be sacked as an Mp - I don’t think he did that much wrong

He falsified a receipt while in public office. Was find £1500 in a court of law and has to carry out 50 hours of community service.

Christ Mark Field? That’s some accusation there and he’s a solicitor - hope you have some evidence

I think reading the BBC website they cannot avoid a by-election. They can draw it out for 4 months though but I’m not certain whether Chris Davies is allowed to vote or not in parliament. If he can’t the Tories might want a by election sooner rather than later.

Mark Field definitely overreacted. Maybe he was just trying to look tough. Failed.

Easy to understand any politician being on high alert when you have people defending the right of the BBC to broadcast a Jo Brand ‘joke’ about hating politicians and throwing acid over them.

Exactly she had something in her hand. It was a phone but could have been acid or a weapon

It was a woman wearing a red backless dress and carrying papers in her hands. What was he reactionary defending himself against exactly? A paper cut? He was giving it the bigun man handling a defenceless woman.

It didn’t. What if Mark Field had a Walther PPK concealed in his tuxedo? Clearly fancies himself as a James Bond of a bygone era when rough housing women was considered acceptable.

If a man had stormed in and a security officer had frog marched him out would this be an issue to you?

If your gran had bollocks would she be your grandad. If it was warranted it wouldn’t matter if they were a man or a woman. It clearly wasn’t warranted and the fact that you have to keep inventing imaginary scenarios of what ifs only confirms that.

Let's call it what it is. An elite group of very rich individuals were inconvenienced by a protestor, and as such they decided to remove them like the 'vermin' they saw her as.

She deserved it. She had a difference of opinion and could have given someone a nasty paper cut. Clearly warranted.

Bollocks.... she got off lightly.... no matter how valid your protests may (or may not) be, in the current climate if you go careering round a dinner containing high level VIP’s and MP’s, then you’ve got to expect some ramification.

She’s incredibly lucky there wasn’t any security present (or within reacting distance) as she could well have been tasered or worse.

Why mention it was a woman then? How odd.

Bang on - she should be prosecuted

Apparently she was in shock after the incident. Thankfully, the support she got on social media helped her feel better:banghead:.
She's lucky she wasn't brought down by an MI5 agent at close range. I'm sorry but in the current climate people really need to start thinking about their actions beforehand.

For a difference of opinion and carrying paper? I thought we had rights to freedom of speech in this country.
We do.

What she did was protest at a private dinner meeting. That involved breaching various security measures. She might have had foul intent...although Greenpeace do not generally go to such extremes so his reaction was ott.

But, when did Greenpeace's agenda become the moral high ground that allows their people to use it to wantonly carry out actions like gaining access to private dinner parties in secure settings without fear of response. Why do they think they can only protest by disprution & behaving provocatively & shouting people down or stopping them going about their lawful business?

As for her being shocked...is that just because she was expecting to be the shocker???

Arrest Mark Fields & her & charge them accordingly.

How do you think she got into the venue ?

I see a Tory MP who supported Rory Stewart has been abused by a fellow Tory MP.

Tory MP called a ‘disgrace’ and told to leave party by colleague

It’s starting to smack of the rise in hate that hit immediately after the Brexit result when racists felt empowered by the result and started posting hate mail through the letterboxes of non Brits telling them to go home we’ve voted leave. You don’t support a hard brexit, leave the party.
