Reckon its a photoshop job. Makes no sense for him to be at the Ricoh. We don't have an office or anything there.

It would make sense if Robins had him over before the season ended and showed him around, then the photo would make sense.

"Yeah this is where we used to play"

One thing we can be sure of this summer is that the recruitment department have done their homework, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Club had organised for players to come and have a look around prior to signing, so they get a feel for it.

We all knew the Ricoh situation was likely to change, but Robins did say in an interview that he was open with potential signings about it

I liked Biamou but i tend to agree, that said his workrate is helpful to better players e.g. Chaplin alongside
In some ways the injury might be a blessing in disguise. He could have been exposed at the start of last season when the team hadn't settled. This year, when he has fully recovered physically he can make cameos off the bench while he adapts to L1 and gets back up to speed and then in the summer assess his learning curve. With a year left on his contract we can then make a decision whether to keep him or see if we can move him on. Could see him being a cult hero at somewhere like AFC Wimbledon.

Also note that the Ricoh picture is this:

The Ryton one was this:

I'd guess it's more than likely that he came over to watch us play. All of our players so far have said they found out about interest in them weeks / months ago.

The Doncaster goalie said it was just after they played us I think.

Would make sense about getting players to have a look around. I remember in the interview with the recruitment guy, he said that they were identifying players last summer for this coming season. If you already know some of them, can easily ask them to come and take a look around.

No doubting on paper that the summer recruitment looks very exciting and ticks some of the boxes we’ve lacked last year with height, pace and power with naturally strong athletic technical types but I’m slightly cautious in the fact that both the wide/forward recruits don’t have experience of English football, may not settle in the English game or to England itself.

Granted not all signings from club to club in the uk come with assurances it will work like Ogogo didn’t but I’m keeping a element of caution in the expectations of them at this stage. I recall Denzel Slager coming with hope and attributes under Pressley.

Let’s not do the usual and expect them to be instant hits and panic if they don’t hit the ground running, allowing them time to adapt. Maybe next year is when both or the other click. The clubs invested in them so clearly done homework on ability.

I still feel we need more experience in the side with only Kelly and McFadzean the two notable experienced outfield names and it’s still early in the summer so hopeful that we get one or two more experienced uk based players with knowledge of a season in L1.

To be fair, 95% of Pressley's signings were trash not just Slager. In fact you would be hard pressed to find any decent pressley signings.

Agree on experience, but not sure which positions we could get it in... I would think almost every position is now filled except striker? Maybe another CM? Other than that the squad is way too bloated.

If we signed bright we'd go into a state of meltdown let's be honest lol
Interesting that no loans have been announced yet
I think we all expect some but Premier League teams often take their best youngsters to pre-season tours to see how they manage in the first team before letting them go out

I think it be madness to not get player mid to late twenties ideally who’s experienced 5/6 seasons playing regularly and is seen as a leader figure given Kelly hasn’t played a full season in his two years.

Obviously it’s a ideal scenario to say we need this that and the other but soon I expect the door to start turning the other way to thin down numbers

I agree, only problem is they cost money, and we have 3 promising young CM's Westbrooke/Bayliss/Shipley- plus Josh Eccles who is highly rated and then Bartley who has just signed, so just need to be careful not to block the pathway really...

Yep i expect a fair bit of movement out of the squad now.

Will be interesting to see if we keep Brown, as obviously he adds plenty of experience at this level.
