Squad as of today
...a front line to put fear into the hearts of all League One defences. Or maybe not
On the other hand we have cornered the market in central defenders. Looks like a bet on the most goalless games might be an earner

Marko Maroši GK
Ben Wilson GK

Defenders

Junior Brown LB
Fankaty Dabo RB
Dominic Hyam CB
Brandon Mason LB
Sam McCallum LB
Kyle McFadzean CB
Josh Pask CB
Michael Rose CB
Jordan Willis CB

Midfielders

Charlie Wakefield RW

Tom Bayliss CM
Wesley Jobello MF
Jodi Jones RW
Liam Kelly CM
Jordan Shipley CM
Zain Westbrooke CM
Dan Barlett CM

Forwards

Amadou Bakayoko CF
Maxime Biamou CF
Conor Chaplin CF
Jordy Hiwula CF
Jordan Ponticelli CF

I've just removed the lads who have little chance of first team football this season, this is the realistic squad

It’s still early days, be patient!

We're obviously going to bring a striker in but funds need to be made readily available for MR to recruit further. Considering it's unlikely significant funds will come in via ST sales then he's either going to have to move people on or wait on the Wilson saga.

I do wonder if the Wilson thing goes our way then Robins will just go all out and get Marquis in.

I've thought the same actually. Although realistically by then I think it'll be too late. Marquis apparently is already receiving several bids from clubs.

Can’t imagine it’s Kaikai. Saw him play several times in the Champ on loan at Brentford a couple of seasons ago. If he was moving I would think he’d have suitors in the Champ.

He has only just signed for them too.

Weird comment. Yes he is on the staff, but no he is not up to L1 and in a few months time everybody will be saying that they knew this to be the case all along. Too slow. Like Grimmer he was an important part of the promotion team but thereafter...
We need strikers more than we need the wingers everybody is blethering on about.

Gibbo-You may well say that Max is not up to League 1 football but in the 3 and a bit games he did play last year he didn’t look out of place.

He has all the attributes to make it in this division-strength, technique and physicality. He fits Robins tactics at the top of the ‘fulcrum’ of the three strikers.

I sincerely hope he has a blinder this year and wish that the unfortunate injury he suffered at Blackpool is not the beginning of the end of his career.

He is one footballer who has endeared himself to the SBA and I feel we should give him a chance.

Max is in a similar category to Jodi Jones-yet to prove themselves at this level but very capable of given a chance and a bit of luck.

Looking at his stats, he only made 6 appearances following his January move and was regularly left out of the squad. Maybe it’s just not worked out as he’d hoped.

Kaikai makes more sense ....

It wouldn't surprise me if it was Kaikai. Signed on a free so if we paid a fee it'd be good business for NAC Breda, he's played at League One level before where he did well, he's only got a year left on his contract (although they do have an option for another year), and he only featured six times between Jan and the end of the season. I'm personally not ruling it out.

Any team vying for promotion wouldn’t consider Biamou in their team

There’s a photo of him at what I assume is Ryton. CCFC badges plastered all over the wall.

The photo in the thread, which is similar to the one you've described, is in fact the Ricoh, not Ryton.

Max - I saw him twice, including the League Cup at Oxford. And please note I am a huge admirer of Max. But he was clearly too slow, and too lacking in sophistication. The bruisers at the heart of Oxford's defence ate him up. He did not score that many in L2

Are you certain of that?

100% certain, Ryton’s got a small waiting area where all the photos are taken, with a big badge on the wall.

The tunnel to the pitch is on the right of the photo, definitely the Ricoh.

Reckon its a photoshop job. Makes no sense for him to be at the Ricoh. We don't have an office or anything there.
