Player Sponsorship (1 Viewer)

Seen a few people mention it in another thread.

I can find out how much it is and everybody chip in and give the advertising to a charity or something?

Didn't somebody on that thread quote £500?
I'm sure we could find 100 SBT members who would pay £5; it's the price of one visit to a match day car park

I'm in if there's a group of us. 25 at £20 more realistic target I think.

I’d do it as long as it’s not Biamou

I'll contribute.
The other things that come with it could be raffled for charity as well.
Having a little chuckle to myself wondering what the reaction would be from some to a player that shows as sponsored by SkyBluesTalk

Think it's decent to give it to a charity or raffled off to a business for charity.

Plenty of charitys could do with some exposure.

Let's choose a charity and get it set up then. The earlier the better. Could then support that charity with the freebies you get from sponsorship - may even be able to get the club to throw in a few more.

Don't we need a plan in place in case said player leaves the club?

How would it work then?

Or would we need to go for a certainty to stay player?

Why not 2 season tickets or more at St Andrews for a father/mother and son or daughter who have fallen on hard times or sad times
A bit like MMJ offer of last season but we all chip in
If 100 of us put in a fiver then can manage 4 tickets

It has been in the past but there might be a discount this season like there is on everything else. Also it might be more expensive to sponsor Bayliss over Wakefield for example.

Happy to chip in, also quite like the homeless charity concept, but lots of worthy charity about.

Suppose the 2 questions are how to decide on charity and which player to pick!

I really like the SBIC idea, because then we are helping those in Coventry through the club.

That's just me though.

For the players, we need to pick from a 'first team'. Who we consider is going to play regularly. Can then be picked out of a hat from that.

Appreciate that a charity might have already been chosen, and there seems to be a general consensus around 1, but I would also just like to nominate Baby Lifeline.

I would definitely contribute £20 to this...maybe there will be so much interest in this idea that more than one player could be sponsored

Depending on the price and so on. Maybe the club could offer a discount for multiple players and maybe donate some tickets to the charity's we pick.

Im sure non of us would mind the shirt and so on being used to raise more money for the charities.

With regard to which player, I chose Sam Ricketts as my son said he was likely to be the captain. With that I got my company logo on the captains comments page, as wll as on the sponsors page or whatever it was called, so got double coverage for my money.

All the players were the same price, so gamble on who the captain will be.

Could possibly be Dom Hyam.

Whoever sponsored him this year might get first dibs (and rightly so). I was lucky because Sam was a new signing. Might be the same scenario this year.

I’m game, love the homeless charity for the irony! Would be great to sponsor a young player just breaking through to give them a bit of exposure. The first team will get sponsors but a young lad might not
