Bright loves it at Cov so I doubt St Andrews will make a huge difference especially as the surface will suit his game
The problem is he's been offered over £20k a week by Wolves
Can't really see a way forward unless he signs for them and they loan him to us again with us paying only a small percentage of his wages
Bastards.

Did they say why he didn't turn up or just didn't show?

Bad form on his part either way.

Would be shocked if he wasn’t offered 20k a week tbh
Would you? They must have dozens of players at the same developmental stage as bright. Will they all be on a similar wage? Maybe I’m being naive but £20k a week for a player who is unlikely to feature anytime soon/anytime at all seems excessive. Do we know How long the contract they’ve offered him is?

I knew they’d offered a new contract but that’s ridiculous. That’s that then.

£20,000 a week for an investment like Bright is a no brainer for wolves - he will play in the championship this season and if he is successful probably will be worth up to 7 to 10 million - wolves total outlay would probably be less than 1.5 million - he might even be given an opportunity with wolves as he is a silky player

Unless it said as they were the ones choosing to trigger it they have to pay him more?

Does that mean Addai has got a pay rise too seeing as we’ve triggered his one year extension? No, it just means it’s extended by a year

Addai is on a modest U23 level contract applicable for a player at a League 1 club who hasn't played a single first team match
Unfortunately Premier League clubs have taken leave of their senses financially and Bright's offer is par for the course in the top division
Not sure if Wolves can hold the player if he declines the extension as I don't know how the contract is structured

Well the extension in the clubs favour is in the contract he has already signed, it doesn’t go to the payer to accept or decline

Can’t imagine Wolves would put in the option of a contract extension, if they can’t extend it at their will.
If new terms also need to be agreed, then it’s a new contract rather than a trigger of the extension.

What a breath of fresh air this guy has been, hats off to robins & staff bringing this guy in.I for one when we signed him slagged this signing off & I fully put my hands up to getting it wrong & judging a player before I had seen them play.Would love to see us sign him even if it meant selling bayliss to fund it no coincidence the team seem to have clicked once he came in,Signing him must be a top priority pre season depends on other interest & if we can get close to wages he wants.

I don't buy for a second Nuno claiming he has a bright (pardon the pun) future at Wolves. Realistically the reason why he wants to tie him down on a long term contract is so he can get the most out of him as possible in terms of a transfer fee.

the longer this goes on, the less chance we have of getting him I feel.

I feel it’s probably already too late but would love to get him. Having to pay a fee though probably means no money to spend on anyone else anyway.

Possibly. I know who'd I'd rather have if it was a choice between the two. (Hint: not Bayliss).

We're talking on this thread of £3m for Bayliss and 600k for Bright. Do we really think Bayliss is five times as good as Bright?
