Not ashamed to say I attended this last night, and didn’t have any issues other than the expected issues of leaving the car park at the end.

Arrived at 6.15 and took 15 mins to get in with security and appropriate bag checks, in a far better manner than were used to seeing on a Saturday. Inside took another 10 mins to get a beer and made my way to block 24 with ease in time for the Jess Glynne opening up the evening. No problems at all, just seems the usual types turning up and expecting to be able to walk straight in or the rude were on a night out so we’re doing what we want may of spoiled it for a few polite spectators.

The ratio of women to men was unbelievable so naturally the issues of toilet congestion was always gonna be and the gents becoming a free for all and throw a large volume of women getting pissed up and the girl power being promoted by the spice girls lead for a messy end for some come 10:30.

The traffic around the stadium and on the A444 meant exiting the car parks impossible and after a hour of waiting naturally people became frustrated.

Still a bloody good evening which was better than expectations, just hope it wasn’t my last time in the stadium in 2019!

Ohhhh ex Big Brother contestent speaks up

Last one is interesting!
I spoke to Bex Shiner last week.

Nice girl, says she is well and was indeed looking forward to seeing the Spice Girls.

Then she told me to stop talking about shit and ask what filthy things I wanted her to do to me before she cuts me off and speaks to another pervert watching Babe Station.

Well, Wasps will lose out on events like this in the future if it can't handle them properly.

Even then, they'll still argue that they can survive without a football club.

Sounds like some of these people left it too late to arrive (as happens at the football for big games).

There's a tweet up there where he says they had to queue for 25 mins to get through the turnstiles but missed the support act.

Seems Free Radio have picked up on the issues regarding last night’s event. Nothing yet from the CT - I wait with bated breath.

The problems are caused mainly by stupid, rude and dangerous people. Stupid in the way they arrive, drive, park...,rude in the way they drive, push in and behave and dangerous in the way we need such security to combat the threat from a certain section of our society !

How many pages in the Coventry City chat can we get to on a shit show of a Spice girls concert. Are we getting some sort of smugness out of it? Is that the point?

Well I can only speak for myself but I am getting a disproportionate amount of satisfaction from seeing Wasps screw up another of their revenue streams.

Agreed when groups see the chaos they will be stopping well away

If you haven't had at least a slight twitch about it are you even human?

to be honest there are some horrendous stories emerging on social media including over aggressive security and poor treatment of disable people attending the event.

The key word in that sentence as ever is social media so it's not gospel but if even some of the stories are true then it's out of order so I'm trying not to revel in the schadenfreude too much.

I would like to shag geri

Does that answer your question?
If you do get to shag her, can you make sure it's on the proviso that her husband (Christian Horner, owner of Red Bull F1 and reputed City fan) splashes his cash at the football club, buys the Ricoh freehold, lock, stock and barrel, then kicks Wasps back down the road?
It'll then allow his lovely wife and her mates to play a concert at a venue operation that is fit for purpose! So there WILL be something in it for her after all!!! LOL

BBC C&W have mentioned that a few people had a problem leaving the car park.
Giblet didn't express an opinion (cos he's not allowed to do that about anything - he told me!)

Looking at the pics on Twitter, it seems to me that they were trying to get every single person there through the smallest turnstiles. It’s been quoted that a turnstile had 2 stewards and looking at the pics that seems horrendously unsafe, and a bottleneck happened.

Surely the sensible thing to do (though don’t know how viable it’d be due to the stage setup) would be to arrange temporary turnstiling where the police congregate under block 14. That way everyone in standing is filtered straight onto the pitch and it’s a much wider access point so you’d think it’d flow a bit more freely. There’s been plenty of big events there previously and I’ve never known such chaos in the aftermath so it’s clear that something with the organisation went horribly wrong, and to not be checking peoples’ bags on the way in is a serious dereliction of duty.

Unless he is writing full threads based on his opinion that Wasps have told him ;)

Imagine kicking out your anchor tenant... to replace it you need more gigs etc. You’d think this would be kind of audition.

Can’t wait to see how this is CCFCs fault

I don't wish to over-dramatise, but i recently read the judgement on the Hillsborough disaster, in respect of the prosecution of SWFC club secretary, and the circumstances you describe are PRECISELY the same as what happened back then - difference being that last night they didn't feel the need to open the gates to let people surge into a confined space.
Graham Mackrell was prosecuted for failing in his duty OUTSIDE the ground, not in it.
This could have been a tragedy.

They did just open the doors from what I can see in the end, that's when they didn't bother searching and just let people do what they want and go whereever.

Gutting in one respect as bad press for the City of Coventry and it’s ability to attract stuff.

But on the other hand it’s another nail in the Wasps coffin .... and we all love that.
