To be fair I agree with you. I am interested in the what new shirt will be but have no idea what the point is of making up fake ones which has ended up with a few divs thinking is real.

That’s kind of the point… there are people who are interested, so test the waters and see what people like / don’t like. If it was obviously just a mockup then it’s harder to get people to look past the concept of it being abstract and visualise what it will actually look like, so mocking it up as realistically as possible makes that unnecessary.

Also: scoring those all-important internet points.

Exactly. Que será, será. These mock ups have next to no influence on what the magic kit machine pops out at the end. Omg this kit is so nice, no it’s not, yes it is! Best kit in all the world, no it’s hideous. Worth a laugh every pre-season I suppose.

I don’t even mind the mock ups to be fair. Just seems a bit disingenuous to whack it on Twitter without saying it’s been knocked up on paint for a giggle and isn't the kit.

Yeah I've had a wank over it and it's not even the right one. It's like those fat blokes on chat roulette who would show you a bit of tit then just as you have finished zoom out to show them laughing and that its a man.

I know, it’s crazy. He’s like _my source has confirmed this_, so either he’s full of shit, his “source” is, or... I got very very close with my mock-up? I’m not putting money on option #3 though.

Exactly, when they change suppliers the people running the shop in Tesco and the web store will all change so there's zero chance of the new kit being leaked like that. Even if we didn't know that this kit was fan made.
