Don't disagree with that but Boddy will have very little influence on the outcome of these talks.
He'll do what his paymasters tell him, same as Eastwood with the council.

Do you really think they haven't confirmed St.Andrews out of concerns for the fans?
There's not one party involved in this who gives a fuck about the fans.

The club needs the fans? Without the fans providing much needed revenue the club would go bust so of course they care? Do you think that SISU and CCFC are two of the same.

I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion from reading my post.
I've constantly said the club and the owners are not the same.
And the owners don't give a toss about the support.

But it's not out of concern for the support. Naive to think it is.

The club want to play at the Ricoh as their first option and are trying their best to do a deal.

If there is no deal, they will have to go and play at St Andrews.

I'm not too sure what people expect the club to do? They can't give daily updates.

It's not the club though is it?
Boddy and co won't have a say.
The Initial comment Was that the owners don't want to go to St.Andrews because of the fans, to my mind that's nonsense, Seppalla and co don't give a toss about the fans in the same way the CCC don't.

The Ricoh as first option in not out of concern for the support.

You initially said that no party cares about the fans. Now you've moved the goalposts and said that the owners, Wasps nor CCC care about the fans? Which is it?

Not a ticket sold and June tomorrow.

How often are we told that ST money is vital to provide the manager funds for summer recruitment?

How many MR player deals are hanging on where we play next season and what salary we can afford?

MR must be pissed off as we are.

You’d think so, he has already spoken out against the council previously and their contempt for our club.

They are the parties.
Do you honestly think Boddy gas any significant influence?

I can understand why fans are getting frustrated, but personally I'm fine with it.

Ultimately we will have a Ground to play in and that's the most important part.

Tbf if is a bit of a pisser not knowing. But as long as they’re still talking then I’ll take it as a non zero chance of still being at the Ricoh, so it’s better than the alternative.

None. What I’m really struggling with is what talks are about now. There’s an issue apparently on legal action which will not be removed so I’m confused what there is to even discuss

No but that's irrelevant to my point. Boddy isn't an employee of SISU, nor is he an employee of any other party you've previously mentioned. He's an employee of CCFC. SISU's decisions doesn't factor into whether the club care's / doesn't care about it's fanbase does it? Whatever their agenda is, is their agenda alone. The club has attempted to distance itself from its owners in previous club statements just to prove my point. It's so simple to just say the club doesn't care but those within the club are probably working around the clock to strike a deal. I obviously agree Wasps, SISU, CCC don't care but at least have the decency to realise that people are trying to do their best under huge constraints. Surely the likes of Boddy would just walk away if they weren't bothered?

i suspect neither Boddy or Eastwood have any final say in talks which i reality slows things down and adds to growing frustation
I suspect from our side if Boddy can sign off depends on what we're being asked to agree to. Sure he will have the power to sign us to to 1 or 2 seasons on a similar deal to last season. 50 years at £1m a year and you'd expect it to have to be approved higher up the chain.

I'd guess CCC / Wasps are scrambling about looking for something to put out as a reason to stop talks again.

They're clearly stalling. The EC Complaint PR push has failed and blown up in their face slightly so now they're looking for another get out of jail free card, like you say. The issue is, if they fail to come up with a good enough reason to why a deal couldn't be agreed, surely it will be obvious to most that they were never interested in the first place?

You’d think a token discount on season tickets(however small) would be standard after this whole debacle. Just as a thank you for bearing with us, but we all know that’s not going to happen.

I agree with what you're saying.
But I still say Boddy has little to no actual influence though I agree he at least appears to have some affinity with the support.
For all the horror stories when he arrived he seems to have done ok.

He'd perhaps have influence over agreeing a short term deal but anything longer and SISU would probably have to take over due to the finances involved. You could say that about any CEO at any club though. Obviously they'll have to get the final say off the owner to agree such a significant deal.

It's out of order, you being forced to read a thread you find annoying.
If only you weren't being forced to click the link.
Or click on a link/thread hoping it’s something different rather than the usual Sisu/Wasps/CCC and who and what posters are siding with who.

The statements have been regular - fingers crossed they can get over the line for the Ricoh - my moneys ready for a ticket to play - if its Birmingham have to have another think about it as its not so easy for us to get to

When the appeal a little while back was rejected and they all announced they were finally in talks I was sure that they just needed some signatures and it'd be sorted before the game that week. I was full of optimism and youth back then
Everyone has aged significantly since then

Also I don’t think robins will have any issues either way. I think the budget will be the same regardless for next season at least

There must be funding surely now just to pay wages with zero ticket revenue I’d doubt the cash flow would naturally sustain the overheads
