Steve McLaren. Why does any chairman ever think this bloke will bring them success ?

Yep, always amazes me. Managers like Mark Hughes can get sacked job after job and still get offers. A 'big name' seems to be the sole reason for hiring.

It's the best career to be in because no matter how bad you are, you always get work.
Goes for referees too.

Mark Hughes

How does he get a premier league job all the time? I wouldn’t want him here ever!

He wears nice suits.

Mark Hughes is the obvious one. He's like some perennial weed that just won't go away. Such dull, negative tactics. Can't imagine he inspires his players much.

Referees? They are scrutinised every week they are on the pitch and are constantly assessed. If they have a bad day/game they can be taken off a fixture.

They still get work though, they just drop down a division.

Coleman was one of them.

Coleman always strikes me as a manager the players love because it’s an easy ride, lots of team bonding sessions

Coleman had great success when Gareth Bale managed Wales

He did well for a year or so. The complete and utter failure that happened after that outweighed the good though.

I'd imagine Jack Ross at Blunderland will be joining the ranks of the unemployed anytime soon !

He achieved what the owners wanted a top six finish so may survive but I would imagine he had the budget of a top half championship side to achieve it, might be a bit less next year

I feel there's been a bit of change over the last 18 months, down to Champ level at least. Manager's like Allardyce, Pardew, Moyes have been unemployed for over a year. Think Hughes will be added to that list too now. Seems to be a move towards younger managers both domestic and foreign.

Spunking £4M on Will Grigg after having to sell Maja might go against him perhaps, as Grigg wasn't even a starter come the end of season.
