Simon Gilbert @ 6:57;

Still no response from Sisu.

CCFC, Wasps and the council have all said they won't comment today.

No comment from any party, this is all scaremongering.

Im willing to wait and see what statement comes out however this doesn’t look good for Sisu. I think if it did come to a groundshare option they would get even less support for it now than they would have done without these talks. I assume there is a deadline for them to meet to put in this complaint in which may have forced their hand. With no conclusion on the ground talks they don’t want to be left without leverage. That’s could be why they wanted a swift conclusion to begin with so they wouldn’t have to put this complaint in. Still I’m no expert and will wait for more information but all this now just makes me very pessimistic for our future, hope I’m wrong.

They should just come out and say he’s talking shit, if that’s the case. Wouldn’t mind Gilbert or the telerag getting done for slander.

Can we please wait and see what happens before going full meltdown, inviting the nutter accounts and going over the same old arguments.

What happens to pending cases when the UK leaves the EU?

CCFC and the franchise have signed an NDA so unless the talks have fallen apart then neither can say anything and I suspect the talks falling apart would be big news.

If the talks had stopped then none of the parties would be legally bound by the NDA not to answer Gilbert’s question.

I don’t trust this information from Gilbert.

Don’t know why people are getting angry at SISU over this. Either it doesn’t harm the deal or the deal is already dead in the water.

Whoever. This mysterious BBC contact, the telegraph. Keep it shut. They’ve rattled the cage of almost the whole fan base.

No of course you’re right!!

I mean why on earth would anyone have justification to be angry at SISU.

OK liquid, I'm taking a chill pill and refusing to get worked up until you post with the word bumsh*te. At that point I'm losing it

Because it MAY be that they have torn the rug from beneath CCFC's attempts to broker a good deal for a long-term home. If they have, i would not be surprised if there were mass walk-outs (Boddy, Robins, etc.)
IF they have scuppered the deal, they will undoubtedly lose any trust that has been built up in the past few weeks (when people realised the council and Wasps had been underhand to say the least

A long term home at the Ricoh under wasps is a death sentence anyway

You’re right but sadly this is what journalists live for. I’m sure Sisu and the club would haven’t wanted to break the news first if it is true.

It's strange the council and wasps haven't taken the chance to get the first comment too.

If true then this is the end of City, crowds no greater than 2k would travel to St Andrews. Can't help but feel if true then the suggestion of talks before the last game of the season were nothing more than a smokescreen to avoid trouble and damage to the stadium. Like i say 'if true'

Maybe he knows someone at the European Commission legal department? Nah, scrap that - unlikely! the man with a voice made for printed media!

How does that work? Wasps entered talks to prevent damage?

So Gilbert does but they don't? Would be a bit random if sisu started going to Gilbert to give him info like that.

We are all guessing but if true, what he has reported (and I’m sure it is as the magnitude of it would land him in serious legal shit if it wasn’t true) it will soon come out in statements from the various parties. He hasn’t got to use a media team/legal team to prepare what he has said but obviously the relevant parties involved (Sisu, Wasps and the council) have to as what they say regarding it has potentially more serious implications than a journalist releasing information.
Personally I think Gilbert is correct and obviously has heard something from an inside source otherwise I am sure he wouldn’t have release such sensitive information, we will soon see but I fear the worst, talks have obviously broke down, and were never going to end well in the first place!
Like previous posts have said, if the council etc are not willing to comment until tomorrow, it must be true as they would deny it straight away and say it was false information if not true

I find it interesting that BBC Midlands Live page has NOTHING on this story, when they always have the most trivial items, and everything that is on Midlands Today. Was it there but has been pulled?
