I'm not convinced now. Someone did show me something with MG Robins listed but now I don't know where it came from. I'll try and get in touch and do a bit more digging, but someone who understands finance better like OSB might be able to point me in the right direction quicker.

Why do all Wasps sponsorship deals seem to not involve them getting any money? First it was the WiFi with Ericsson and now getting a decent phone signal with Vodafone.

You could get the impression that Wasps don’t have the money to carry out the required works themselves.

Contra's are quite common in business, regardless of size. It's a way of saving expenditure where they can. Take from that what you will.

I hadn't heard Robins was a director
Mark Venus was but it was a poisoned chalice
Yeah I can see Venus listed and then resigned. The only thing I can find at companies house is Fisher for Otium and Fisher & Deering for Sky Blue Sports & Leisure. I'll pop a text in and see if I get a response.

Interesting bit about Vodadone sponsoring Wasps is that the mayor of the west midlands both put them in contact and helped Wasps do their presentation to give to Vodafone.

Back Scratching at it's finest.

Well, you'd want one of the biggest tax dodgers going to sponsor a hedge fund owned rugby club, wouldn't you?

Seem to be excited on drunken drivel

The Land Rover deal hardly cost JLR a penny and no doubt this will be the same

I get that but Wasps have done it with 2 of their 3 biggest sponsorship opportunities.

Only the naming rights of the stadium remain which they can’t sell.

Seems the work they are getting done in return is relatively low cost.

I'd bet money they have genuinely forgotten that their manager said coaches turned them down and they don't have any money for new players after loads have left as well.

Wasn’t Martin Reeves, formerly a senior figure at ACL and currently Chief Exec of Cov Council also Chief Exec of the West Midlands Combined Authority at one point?

That isn't any more or less information that we already know, I'd like to hope that this suggests something positive for our future at the Ricoh, but until it's confirmed through official channels I won't believe it.
One thing we can be certain is that it won't just be a 1 year extension

He sure was, he was working for them a couple of days a week.

I reckon it'll be a discount to Wasps on the cost of installing 5G into the Arena, presuming that the installation of 5G is something they believe might help attract more business.

I personally won't read anything into it at the moment Dom, the reality is we could still end up elsewhere, the longer this continues to drag out the more people will believe that is going to be case.

Hopefully it gets sorted this week, we need to start selling season tickets! You get the feeling alot of our transfer business will begin as soon as they go on sale

I hope you're right although he will toe the party line as he is a non-exec board member of Otium ;)

Edit - not sure how that works as non-exec usually means not employed by - perhaps OSB can shed some light as I may have this confused. I understand he's on the board, but has no shares I think if what I'm told is right, but tbh way above my head!

Robins is an employee of Otium
Boddy is an employee of Otium
Otium shares are owned SBS&L 901 shares and ARVO 99 shares
The only director is Tim Fisher.
The only person entitled to attend or vote at directors meeting is Fisher
The only entities entitled to vote at shareholders meetings are ARVO and SBS&L

directors od SBS&L are Fisher (non employee of ARVO) and Laura Deering (employee of SISU)

Hope that helps

Robins doesnt get a say or vote.

“It was important that he wanted to play at the Ricoh, so hopefully that will happen,” said former Sky Bluesskipper and fan favourite Baker, who says he helped sell the club to McFadzean, with whom he gained promotion to the Championship at MK Dons.

Baker on McFadzean signing, CET running this as a hint of the Ricoh deal.

I know. Just can’t avoid a dig at Andy Street.

He would absolutely smash you up.
