Had a week in Skye already.... 8 or 9 days in Tenerife in June, although this is primarily for a race in the middle of the hol...

Also been doing roughly a weekend away each month (lakes, snowdonia), but again primarily revolving around racing. ..

Nothing planned at the moment due to loads of other stuff going in.

I think by the time summer comes I'd kill for a few days in Skeggy.

Paphos, Cyprus :)
Just got back from a trip to Seville and Grenada - both very beautiful cities. Recommend them both highly, both cheap and you get a plate of free tapas with a beer in Grenada.

Went to Barcelona and Brussels with work and off to Singapore and Thailand next month for a business trip.

For actual holidays will be going to Sardinia for 10 days followed by a few days in UK in August visiting family.

Singapore is a great place for a few days. Especially on expenses

Thailand will be mega hot and humid at this time of year. Is it Bangkok?

Off to the south coast of Spain in August with the other half. My grandparents live there so have been over almost every year of my life and know all the cheap places.

Sliema, Malta (August) but already bothered it may be too hot at that time of year!
Never been before - anybody else been - recommendations?!

I'll be doing some work whilst I'm doing some of the above. The cost of this Jamaica trip is very low due our complaint for the awful hotel we stayed in in Cuba last year. Won't be going there again!

Which hotel was that? We like Cuba and have been there a few times. If we go again I'd like to know which hotel to avoid!

Yeah it will be absolutely roasting...! up there with Rhodes as the hottest place I’ve been (south-east Asia excepted).

Sliema if I remember is very built up but good facilities, and Valletta is just round the bay, which is stunning (but will be rammed).

Local buses are entertaining if a little alarming... if I remember correctly, the main terminus for buses is just outside the ‘walls’ of Valletta and you can get pretty much anywhere from there.... I expect Sliema is similarly well connected.

Plenty to do depending on your preference.... for me, Mellieha Bay, Gozo and Comino are must-sees.... there’s also a couple of lovely harbour villages.... Marsaloxx or something like that is a good one...

I’ve heard that Singapore is excellent, we’re staying at the Marriott on South Beach.

And yes it is indeed Bangkok, it’s not the best of year to be going!

Ocean Vista Azul. The hotel, food and service was terrible. A few people who we were on excursions with said they were having similar experiences in their hotels. The country and in particular Havana was nice but we’re put off for life due to the hotels.

I'm taking my two daughters on a 12-day road trip to Las Vegas (Nevada), Torrey (Utah), and Flagstaff (Arizona).
Never been to Utah before so that will be something new.

Isle of Wight!

Did Skye last year, so may as well compare and contrast islands.

Spent approx. 13 of my first 15 years doing holidays on the IOW. Got to know the place like the back of my hand and have so many great memories. Took my wife (before son was born) over there and booked us into a naff self catering place, it rained all the time and she burst into tears in the car as it it teemed it down in Ventnor. Haven't been back since, but she recently mentioned the possibility of revisiting with our son (didn't see that coming!)
