No he wanted to up the experience. If you see his latest interview, he says he doesn't want to bring in older players just some with more experiences. I would suggest he means people on the 23-27 category or still even lower in general
Just read the article and that’s what Robins says...I stand by my assertion!
(Cue us re-signing joe Cole).

Weren't we in for Lavery a few years ago? Seem to remember people were excited when we were linked with him.

Always thought Cranie was a bit underrated when he was here. Wouldn't take him back now, but he had a decent partnership with Keogh in the relegation season ironically.

Not saying I would, but would you make a move for Ched Evans? Good striker for this level albeit morally questionable.

Conor Washington would be a decent signing for the club. Probably can't cut it at Championship level but was great for Peterborough.

Paul Coutts once upon a time considered as one of the best midfielders in the league for Preston, but injuries have plighted his career ever since. Might be a gamble. Cranie could also be a good signing for our level but again, might be a gamble as he's barely featured in the last couple of seasons.

Frank Fielding would be a superb signing. Was in the PFA Team of the Year the season Bristol achieved promotion and has had plenty of Championship football ever since.

Ben Garratt could work as a decent No.2. Would be on low wages at Crewe and he's very experienced for his age. 25 years old yet he's featured around 250 times in his career. He was offered a contract but it was withdrawn because he took to long to decide.

Beat me to Ben Garratt he would be an excellent number two and his name was the first to jump out of the list.

If you have to ask such questions, clearly a football discussion forum isn't for you...

Perhaps I’ll return when the football is back. Official signings are great. Speculation about retained lists and free agents is just so...virgin.

Garratt was always good on Football Manager games as one for the future, and at 25, he's still young for a keeper. Would love to see him brought in as understudy to a more experienced keeper like Fielding.
