A Royal Baby (1 Viewer)

Some sad man has been interviewed and he seems to have been camped outside I assume the hospital for a week as he needed to be close to know the baby was ok. He needs to be sectioned
And his hard drive checked

Congratulations to them. What is it I pay towards them all. 57p a year? Ouch. First world problems eh!

It’s not actually the cost that is the issue though is it. It’s surely the lack of taxation that’s yielded from the likes of the Duchy of Cornwall. I cannot see how it’s justifiable that this very rich family get better tax benefits than the poorest members of society.

These people are truly obnoxious. I’ve had the misfortune to meet some. Prince Phillip is I admit remarkable - he’s like some kind of reptilian lizard from the science fiction series V. He is a fossil.

Prince Edward is an utter c**t.

Interestingly Peter and Zara Phillips are actually fairly well adjusted as they have been removed from the royal protocol.

The fact is most of them are dumb and clueless. They have also an absurd sense of entitlement. Money is not the issue. I’m sure White Dee costs less per household but ultimately is the same - a freeloading benefit stringer with zero purpose

They don’t bother me as much as the work-shy, pop-out-5-kids ‘benefit stringers’ as you put it. Freeloaders at both ends of the scale eh.

Michele Obama can't wait to see the royal baby.
I'm sure we all wanted to know that.
Personally, I can wait as long as necessary.

It’s the fawning from the media I can’t stand. Where do the BBC find so many unhinged monarchists to come on and gush such nonsense.

In terms of what the Royal Family cost and what they bring in, are there any hard figures someone can quote?

Not as simple as that anyway, all about interpretation. Versailles rakes in the tourists too - without a Royal Family.

Anyway, moving away from the finances, Brexit will mean the end of them anyway, as we reclaim our democracy and remove the unelected head of state.

Just lovely. Another benefit scrounger joins the ultimate family of tax dodgers

Your friends on the left will love this opinion , you don’t strike me as somebody who hates our traditions.

Don’t mind the royal family myself , good for the country , corbyn agrees with you though

Thankfully the majority in Britain still support it

And a consultancy called Brand Finance estimated in 2017 that the monarchy's annual contribution to the UK economy to be around £1.8bn a year, drawing in an additional £550m of tourism revenues a year, and an increase in trade, from the Royal Family acting as ambassadors, supposedly worth £150m a year

Errrr.... I know a political party that wants to take part in the next election, but doesn’t have a manifesto und the leader cannot be removed by the members... of rather the registered voters.. Their leader would probably love to take over as unelected head of state..

It's the same jokes being made when I was born 35 years ago and 55 years ago when my mum was born. It's pathetic.

LOL LEROY

As she has a bit of Hollywood glamour I’m going for Denzel

I was pipped because I was about to suggest Jim-Bob or Bubba just because I found the incongruity of a royal with an 'American' name amusing. It really is a minefield out there.
